We were at home with fans due to our finishing position in the league. So you're saying we deserved that penalty as a reward for finishing 10 points ahead of Notts (but really 13 as they lost to Dover)? Sounds reasonable to me.
No we're not. We're not a tippy tappy side by any means but today was a lot more direct than usual, I think Johnson saw the stature of Notts back line along with their better players being in midfield and decided to bypass the middle more than usual. Cameron is a centre half by trade but played...
In less positive news:
"Torquay United AFC and Torbay Council’s Director of Public Health have mutually decided that under current circumstances, face coverings will remain mandatory for the match with Notts County this Saturday.
We recognise this may be disappointing but the virus is still in...
Gary Johnson signs a new contract! Fantastic and unexpected news which indicates that the owner will continue to back the club financially next season. There has been plenty of suggestions that it was shit or bust for us this season with many expecting the budget to be slashed if we didn't go...
If that was the "Yellow Army" podcast then I wouldn't pay too much attention. If he's anywhere near fit he will be involved, he's too important for us not to be. Pictures from training certainly showed him joining in with the group so unless he has a reaction I'd think he'll be on the bench.
Rumour has it that Wright played (and scored) in a behind closed doors match at the weekend so we may have some good news on the striker front. No mention of Whitfield though.
Well unless Whitfield is fit we won't be countering quickly with either Boden or Wright up front. I guess he could opt for a front 2 with Waters adding some pace alongside Boden. This worked really well for a few games but Johnson seems to have binned off that option after we failed to score...
I make you clear favourites to be honest, we've lost any attacking spark we had in the first half of the season. Saying that though we are unbeaten in the last 13.
First goal is vital as we never look like we have the mentality to come from behind these days.
Again though that's been the case for every club this season. Even the hacks from our local rag have to watch the stream. Not our decision I'm afraid ,it's the nutters on the local SAG (who still insist that all fans have to wear a mask at all times!).
Congrats Notts. See you next week.
Would have preferred to play Chesterfield as we seemed to have a voodoo curse against them this season with 2 undeserved wins, but at least now we can play Boden.
Looks like the Wrexham takeover is yesterday's news. The Merthyr sponsors are the big Welsh football celebrity news now.

12th June. Could go either way I guess, either we're rusty after a 2 week break or they're knackered or have injuries/suspensions after an extra high stakes game.
Think last season 2nd and 3rd comfortably won though to the final.
