Sold out what we've been given, around 2700 I think for today at Wednesday although doubt we would have sold many more.
Southampton sold out on Tuesday night, 3200.
We’ve signed Axel Tuanzebe on a 1 year deal with an option for a further year. Quite a high risk signing given his injured past but potentially a great signing if he can stay fit.
Yeah I'm choosing Southampton over Wednesday. £39 is way too much. Southampton is only £25 which is far more reasonable. Can't imagine we will take as many as last season to Wednesday.
We're signing Dane Scarlett on loan. Looking at last season it seems underwhelming, but some players just don't fit in some teams style of play. I trust McKennas judgement!
Today is going to be a huge test against Leeds. Sounds like they've got a few bodies back as well as signing Piroe. I'd be happy to see a point from this for sure. Sounds like Hirst won't be starting which will be a huge miss.
I think it's because we will try and get him on a free if all goes well at the end of the season. His contract expires, and although they have an option to extend it, it will cost them over 2 million to do so due to his crazy wages.
He was decent for us but that's about it. Showed glimpses of real quality like his goal against Shrewsbury but didn't think he was consistent enough and like the other post mentioned, he has had a lot of injuries. He was often used as an impact sub and his powerful presence did worry tiring...
McKenna often speaks about having different options, and I guess he would be one. If he were to sign, I'd assume he would be in competition with Chaplin who is about half the height. Also, as he's fairly versatile, it may be worth having him in.
Rumours that Oxford are signing Greg Leigh from us. Would be sad to see him go as he's great back up to Davis but can understand that he will want to play more regularly. I assume that means we have a new signing imminent. Greg Leigh is a great player, would be a very good signing for Oxford for...
That’s very optimistic! I’m still not getting carried away as there’s still 43 games left and much tougher games than that. I never thought we’d win our first 3 and I’m a natural pessimist so…I’ll still be very happy with a top half finish.
According to someone "in the know" on our forum, we've had a bid rejected for Colby Bishop over the summer.
I assume it was a tester as such, and maybe we will go back in for him depending how other targets go.
