I think it's because we will try and get him on a free if all goes well at the end of the season. His contract expires, and although they have an option to extend it, it will cost them over 2 million to do so due to his crazy wages.

He was decent for us but that's about it. Showed glimpses of real quality like his goal against Shrewsbury but didn't think he was consistent enough and like the other post mentioned, he has had a lot of injuries. He was often used as an impact sub and his powerful presence did worry tiring...

McKenna often speaks about having different options, and I guess he would be one. If he were to sign, I'd assume he would be in competition with Chaplin who is about half the height. Also, as he's fairly versatile, it may be worth having him in.

According to someone "in the know" on our forum, we've had a bid rejected for Colby Bishop over the summer. I assume it was a tester as such, and maybe we will go back in for him depending how other targets go.
