AFC Wimbledon have scored the most home goals ( despite playing the least number of home games) and conceded the least in League 2. 100% home record.
0-7
Artell made a good point yesterday in that if Grimsby were drawn away to say, Stevenage or Northampton ( he didn’t specifically name these clubs) from the league above we wouldn’t be particularly worried. Same surely applies to Wealdstone. We should win, but by no means guaranteed. Not much in...
I am still in the camp who think our points haul doesn’t reflect our performances. We probably have at least 6 more points than we should.
These ‘easier’ games on the horizon doesn’t sit well with me. Every game can be tough, even more so this season. I just can never see Grimsby scoring enough...
Not sure if it was public knowledge but Holloway ‘insisted’ that Limerick was released from his contract, claiming he couldn’t work with him. Holloway had then publically praised Anthony, and expressed his disappointment at his release.
You simply cannot believe a word Holloway says
I am of the opinion that Holloway suffered some serious mental health issues during Covid. He just couldn’t cope with lockdown, no supporters, his wife ( who has huge influence on him) not being allowed into the club.
His first few months he brought in some decent players and had Grimsby...
I’m sure some others have a greater claims than Grimsby but having spent 12 seasons at the top table and 55 in what is now the Championship as opposed to 19 in ‘’Division 4’, I think we, as will many, trump MK!
Approx. 30% of the season gone, so who do you think are going to finish top 3?
No particular order but I’d go; Port Vale, AFCWimbledon & Doncaster.
Also think MK won’t be far off come May
Tranmere fans and players certainly lost their shit with the ref, but from very early on the players were ‘in his face’ at every decision ( even clear throw ins around half way). It looked like they had set out to try and intimidate him.Couple of their defenders were chief protagonists. This...
Having been at the game, I’d say 500 wasn’t far off at all.
The section for away fans was full well before kick off, requiring a ‘panic’ from the stewards to remove the netting to open up two additional sections.
Have to say the stewards were warm, efficient and in good humour ( unlike the home...
Is Davison the guy who was at AFCW? Strong, puts himself about but very limited from my occasional viewings.
As someone else mentioned, Grimsby’s issues are not just injuries to probable starters, but the bench has been made up of the semi injured and therefore the starting X1 doesn’t change...
With both sides having to agree the ticket pricing for FA Cup games it sometimes isn’t easy. Thankfully, despite Grimsby v Wealdstone being the ‘tie of the round’, compromise has been reached!
£15 adult, £10 concession, accompanied kids £1
Travelling over to The Wirral.
Tranmere got a good away win yesterday at struggling Bromley. Grimsby, despite winning 3 on the bounce away, are expected to struggle. Record at Prenton Park not the best iirc.
Is the Fan Park still open to away fans? - enjoyed it in there last time. Better than...
