We haven’t got the money to throw at it. And if we did, our recruitment team wouldn’t get it right. And even if they did, our manager isn’t good enough to make the most of it.
And even if we did have a manager with enough skill, we still effectively need 30 points from the last 22 games after...
Nah they didn’t cheat anymore than any other team in the division, we were just shit and deservedly registered nil in the goal column.
We’ve just lost five on the trot:
Huddersfield (h) 0-4
Charlton (a) 1-2
Orient (a) 0-2
Reading (h) 1-3
Rovers (h) 0-1
That’s a sackable run in anyone’s book...
Would echo Wadloes Road and the estate off it too - that’s where I park. Also to get there, come off the A14 at the Horningsea/Fen Ditton exit as you’ll avoid the carnage of Cambridge traffic then.
I have no idea what’s gone wrong really, or more like there’s nothing that’s gone right. Monk’s passing game tactics haven’t worked because he hasn’t had the quality of players to pull it out. That comes partly down to recruitment and partly down to budget.
Then the good players he has signed...
I know we’ve only played eight games but I’ve already accepted relegation. We’d need 49 points from 38 games which would far exceed anything we’ve achieved at this level previously and we’ve got a worse team than we’ve had previously too. Logically it’s impossible to put forward a sensible case...
Yes I’m staggered he’s not gone yet.
There are several bizarre decisions going on but the weirdest for me is that, despite all the injuries, we have been leaving our player of the season from last term on the bench. And he’s out of contract at the end of the season - if we weren’t planning on...
He can’t stay can he? I’m all for giving managers time and I generally like to hang on to our managers longer than most but there’s a limit to even my patience.
I haven’t been yet this season until tonight for various reasons. But we really are as bad as our position suggests. I genuinely think we’d struggle in League 2.
Rotherham were dreadful and the fact we were even worse is mind blowing.
Signed Dan Nlundulu on a season long loan from Bolton. He’s got an incredibly prolific 8 goals in 89 league appearances in his career so he’ll be a perfect number 9 for us.

We were all over them second half, should have forced extra time at least. If we just had a number 9 to finish the chances off we’d have won comfortably. Anyway it’s one game, hopefully we can carry on at this level against Crawley.
I think it’ll be hard to judge until about half way through the season when we’ve had a load of games moved and fixtures on sky - hard to judge on one off games.
Not trying to defend it however - moving games from 3pm on Saturday is shameful whatever the reason. It’s sacred.
Well if you assume £25 per ticket then you’re talking 4,000 tickets across a whole season so a few hundred per game. I have no idea how much it’ll wipe off ticket sales.
