The only thing that might work against you is that game in hand you have against us. You might still be able to reach the play offs while others can’t. The perils of having international call ups.
I’m going for Wigan or Exeter.
That Lincoln run is ridiculous isn’t it and the next two look more than winnable too (Reading and Wigan). Wouldn’t fancy anyone playing them in the play offs at the moment, I guess only risk is they have peaked too soon.
Solid but very important win. We didn’t set the world alight and only had a handful of attacks but we scored three good goals. The free kick for the third was a proper screamer.
Think we’re now one win away from safety.
FlashScore told me ours was postponed which I was pretty happy about. Then I’ve just seen a tweet from Lincoln which says it’s total rubbish and the game is on. Either way, we won’t win.
I generally agree with your point of view in this discussion but I watched the cup game v Wrexham and you didn’t “batter them”. They had the bulk of the possession and chances were pretty equal.
It’s in our hands but we’ve got a tough run in. If any of Vale, Fleetwood or Cheltenham actually pick up any wins then we’re right back in it.
Our run in is:
Lincoln (a)
Reading (a)
Wycombe (h)
Barnsley (a)
Wigan (h)
Blackpool (a)
Charlton (h)
Bristol Rovers (a)
Derby (h)
Port Vale (a)
Four at...
We’ve got Reading (a) and Port Vale (a) to come. I think we are at risk - Port Vale aside, all games we have left are against sides above us in the table and we’re not playing well.
I think Harris was likely to carry on the Bonner style to some degree, but with his own take on it. I don’t know enough about Monk’s style (I recall he played decent stuff at Swansea back in the day but struggling to remember after that). Think his job will be to keep us up then build a team in...
Aside from him having a break from the game, his pedigree is decent so it’s a good appointment. I think it’s riskier in terms of staying up but it’s progressive in that I think it’s an appointment with next season in mind.
I don’t think the bottom of the division is any worse than last season. There was one period for about two months last season when it felt like none of the bottom eight were picking up any wins. We were awful for
Months, Dons underperformed all season, Burton got out of it but were appalling for...
It does need to turn around for you now but always remember we did a run of 5 wins from 9 games after a run of 4 wins in the previous 30 - very similar position. It is achievable but kinda needs to start very soon.
I posted on here earlier, can’t remember what on, then been in back to back meetings. Check my phone and the Cambridge message board has gone mental with this.
Just catching up but immediate reaction is that this isn’t positive news - despite the football being difficult on the eye, he had made...
