Nothing except most other clubs’ fans wouldn’t do it unless their whole club’s existence isn’t at stake. If there’d been 10-15 mins to play and Port Vale had been winning then I’m sure the EfL would have taken a different approach.
The thing that gets me is everyone knew the protest was going...
Play was abandoned after 16 minutes, it’s not like Reading’s fans cost Port Vale a guaranteed three points - they might have gone on and beaten you anyway. It’s annoying but in the context of what Reading fans are experiencing with their club at the moment it’s nothing.
I remember when we got promoted to this division when we were ahead of nearly all our rivals on games played. The Tuesdays when everyone was playing catch up were some of the best points of the season - watching everyone else drop points while having a couple of beers made for quite the...
I think it should be the amount of time it takes to get from one ground to the other plus an hour. I wouldn’t have had a problem with a pitch inspection at Exeter at 9 this morning but midday meant that our fans would have been around Bristol if it was called off, that’s around three hours away...
Nah we know it’s the ref this time. When our game at Morecambe was off a few years ago, Morecambe’s official Twitter put out a post at 9am saying it was on then it was called off at 1pm. Pricks.
I think the ref’s decision not to call it off to day was ridiculous. Instead they’ve scheduled a pitch inspection for midday tomorrow when it takes around five hours to get there for our fans. We had a game postponed at Morecambe a couple of seasons ago under similar circumstances, I really hope...
In fairness to them, they were brilliant last season and missed out because there were three phenomenal League 1 sides who went up instead. Ordinarily their side last season. Would have been more than good enough to go up. If they get lucky this year then fair play to them then I have no problem...
The JCH deadline day saga in the summer was amazing. I don’t care for Bristol Rovers one way or the other but seeing a Boro player and Boro themselves getting shafted in the transfer window made a nice change from the norm.
We offered both Sam Smith and Harvey Knibbs contracts as far as I’m aware but Reading offered more and they both jumped ship. But look at the shit hole they joined, it’s beyond embarrassing. I hope they’re both happy - I’m not saying we’re the answer but surely Reading was one of the worst clubs...
Our message board have mentioned him too but we’re probably 25th in the queue for him out of League 1 teams.
Another striker likely to be on the move is Johnson Clarke-Harris after the debacle in the summer.
