We’ll get Salford or Mansfield. Or maybe for a bit of glamour the winners of the Harrogate v Blackburn tie.
If you set low expectations you’ll never be disappointed
Looked decent enough in the first half hour today, a significant improvement from the Wimbledon game last week. But we fell apart in the last half hour, giving away 3 soft goals.
The opening day seems like an strange dream now.
In 2007/08 we finished rock bottom of the Conference South with a grand total of 24 points. Our average attendance was around 350 (on paper, probably closer to 150 by seasons end).
Happy memories

Times change. You certainly can’t have a rivalry with a team who you haven’t played...
As I was in the home end, the number of Wimbledon fans was negligible. I’m not saying there weren’t any, but it wasn’t anywhere close to the numbers Wimbledon fans think. It never is.
Big day out? The way your lot have gone on about it, it certainly seems that way.
Absolute dog pooh. Second best across the park. Saved from a bigger defeat by some poor/unlucky finishing from Wimbledon.
Including our abysmal ending to last season that’s 1 win in 15 league matches. Worrying
Sutton 0 Gillingham 1
Omar Sowumni pondered on the ball a second too long which gifted Gillingham the only goal of the game.
Sutton asserted some pressure throughout the game, but Gills had more than enough defensively to ride out the game.
We’re still a work in progress after a big squad...
After only scoring more than 2 goals in a game once last season it’s a pleasant surprise to score 5 in the first game of the season. Hopefully it’s an indication that our goal scoring problems from last season won’t continue into this.
After a massive player turnaround in the summer, it’s...
