If they can’t organise the playoffs properly then they shouldn’t happen and thus there should only be one promotion and relegation spot this season.
It’s only fair.
Only 16 years? Lucky.
Bromley make Sutton look like a big club. The away section makes the away section at FGR seem luxurious. And the poor personal hygiene of their supporters makes me want to cry.
Newport remind me of us last season. This isn’t a compliment.
Got to feel Grimsby are all but safe, although they may not seal it until they play Colchester.
As for the rest of us, pretty much as expected. I’ve never been so pleased to see Paul Mullen on the scoresheet
I’m sure I reflect the sentiments of the forum as a whole when I wish a hearty pob lwc to our friends from Cymru, Casnewydd/Newport and Wrecsam/Wrexham for their respective games on Saturday. Cymru am byth!
Personally I would lay blame more on my team’s inability to beat an utterly mediocre opponent on the day in question rather than anything else, if that hypothetical scenario does play out.
Colchester’s games in hand are Stockport, Grimsby and Doncaster.
Perhaps my bias and hope are speaking here, but that’s not an overly worrying set of fixtures from a Sutton perspective.
Of course this is reliant on Sutton maintaining our current form….
Bradford’s late equaliser combined with Colchester only picking up a point at Tranmere means that Sutton are the big winners this bank holiday weekend.
Shame we’ve got Stockport next weekend really
Sutton 3 Swindon 1
A relatively comfortable win for Sutton today. Lakin with an early goal in the first half, a strange Coley cross/keeper mishandle for the second just after the break and a strong Smith header from a Coley cross for the third.
4 wins on the bounce, and we’re out of the...
Colchester have the massive advantage of being 1 point ahead of us and 4 ahead of you.
For Sutton that means maintaining our current form. We’ve 5 games left, in our last 5 we’ve gained 10 points, out scoring points wise Colchester significantly. We’re not in a position to drop that level
One of those games in hand is Stockport. Another is Grimsby (at this rate we’d benefit from the result of that regardless).
Colchester are now playing two games a week for the rest of the season which could be a negative as much as a positive
