Deserved win for Gillingham. They could feel aggrieved it was only 1-0, but our defence did well enough to limit their chances and it was a very good strike that won the game.

A Christmas miracle in SW19/SW17 as Sutton beat Wimbledon 1-0.
We were as good as I’ve seen us in a very long time, for once looking solid at the back, and strong in midfield. We looked like the Sutton of 2021.

Absolutely gutted. It was the right thing to do, but it still doesn’t stop it being sad and painful.
Matt will rightly be remembered as a Sutton United legend, and he’s an absolute gentleman as well.
Could have done with playing today, no offence to Harrogate, but with Stockport, Mansfield and Wimbledon being our next 3 games today was perhaps our best chance to potentially get 3 points this month.
I live in Wales and left home at 6am. So I was a lot closer to Sutton and as a public transport user I had to wait a lot longer before turning back home
