    The play-off thread

Tickets went on sale today for our play-off semi for ST holders only. The rest of us plebs will have to pick up the crumbs on Friday IF there are any left. Approx 1500 expected, not sure how many ST holders we have but this would have been a sell out in normal circumstances. And joy of joys...

    Your POTY

Adam Randell all day long. Shame he actually belongs to the Janners and will definitely not be with us next season whichever level we're at. I actually heard someone at the Barnet game at Plainmoor saying that Armani Little should be up there or thereabouts.... f*ck me, the bloke is injury...

    11/5/2021 fixtures

...you forgot to add or 'ON HOLIDAY'. Unbelievable. I know you have feck all to play for, but one of your squad taking his holidays early is really taking the piss. Mind you, with your current form, I doubt if he'd made much difference. Us Gulls are resigned to the fact that Sutton are going...

The ‘who is joining us from L2 next season then’ thread

Oh great, another trip to the grim north awaits* *Hopefully, one of ours will be to Barrow

    Mayday bank holiday fixtures

Tough couple of fixtures for us. One of our bogey teams up first at Plainmoor (we've only beaten Eastleigh twice in 11 attempts). But as long as we show the commitment we did against the Shots on Tuesday we should come away with the 3 points. Hopefully not having to rely on 'Gary Johnson Time'...

    National League fixtures 27/4/21

Made I laugh! Me thinks Mr Jared is employing a little bit of kidology with this quote. On paper we should beat Aldershot... but they still have a very slim outside chance of making the play-offs and we have a very tough run-in with games against Eastleigh H (could still makes play-offs)...

National League fixtures Saturday April 24

You certainly are in control and could have gone in 2 or 3 up at the break. We really do miss Danny Wright... I was starting to warm to Boden but after his poor attempt at a near-post header to give us the lead I'm back in the 'fuck off back to Chesterfield camp'.... This next 45 minutes could...

    National league games 20th April

I'm not. They really were poor...but we just did not come out for the second half.... and when Billy 'Look mum, I can run, but fuck all else' Waters enters the fray you just know you're not going to be anywhere near the goalmouth. How this bloke got a professional contract is beyond me.

    National league games 20th April

Woking really are woeful and we could be 3 to 4 up. Give them their due though they have been hit by injuries and playing some young inexperienced lads tonight. Plus, they've already made two subs...to even things up we've given Danny Wright the night off and let Boden show the Yellow Army what...

    National league games 20th April

Yep, that'd do nicely. And if Woking can not bother to turn up like they did(n't) against Wrexham that would be appreciated.

The ‘who is joining us from L2 next season then’ thread

Simple answer is 'Don't'... you wouldn't like it in League 2 anyway, plus you'd have to play on turf every game.

    National League Fixtures 13th April

Big game for us tonight. Win by 2 clear goals and we leapfrog Sutton into 2nd. We have the best GF (52) and they, along with Stockport, have the best defence (only 26 in the GA column). Cue a drab 0-0 (and to be fair, I'd take that given our injury problems and the fact that Sutton have only...

Dave Thomas (one of the co-commentators for Torquay)... well, let's just say, if you are an insomniac and need a bit of kip, tune in... he'll have you asleep before kick-off. And if you like your commentary full of 'Erm' and 'Err' and very long pauses between indecipherable shite, definitely...

    FA Trophy 2019/20

Whoopee! Cannot wait! Seriously though... I'm actually giving this one a miss. There is no way I'll be putting a tenner into Boring Wood's pockets for some crappy live stream, and if Dave Thomas is co-commentating on the match on TUFC Radio it'll be as much fun as being a Maidstone United fan...

Let's play a game of Blankety Blank: Our game against Solihull is off due to ____________? A: Antonine Plague; B: Leprosy; C: Covid-19; D: Cholera; E: A, B, C & D No prizes for winning entries but I bet you're all googling 'A' right now.

    Coronavirus

Yep, I see that side of it too. But when you have family who have been hit hard by this (both financially and health-wise) it really hits home what is important in life. I'd certainly have no football until next season if it meant that the majority of the footballing world would feel safe at...

    Coronavirus

No, it doesn't feel right at all. I love football, like all on here, it's not only a passion but a way of life. And, although my team are flying at the moment and on current form could be at the top of the pile come the end of the season (or damn near it) I would prefer to cancel the season...
