Yeah, he’d be my choice.
His style would suit the recruitment we’d done. So we wouldn’t be back to square one. Done at this level and looking ahead to next season done it at conference level.
Whether he’d come to the worst team in the football league is a different matter. I have my doubts...
Just been reading that.
Steven Gerrard did work with our sporting director at Rangers. So I wonder if they have got that link and are just plucking the story out of the sky.
Anyway I can't see Gerrard wanting to touch a League 2 job.
Mike Keegan at the mail is reporting that we're considering going for Steven Gerrard.

Our sporting director will want someone with a similar style of football that we've recruited for. The last thing we need is a long ball manager with a bunch of players not suited to the style. We'd be back to where we were when simpson left.
The style of football isn't the issue. We just need...
The sporting director is responsible for signings. Williamson will have had an input but the signings are made with the sporting directors style of football in mind - same goes for him recruiting the next head coach.
We’re down anyway. Anyone who has seen this team play can see that there’s no hope. Its about getting things in order and laying foundations for the national league next season.
I don’t remember much of that team, I didn’t go to every game and obviously there was no streaming then. I remember some games in the second half of the season. That team wasn’t great either, it grinded out a few narrow wins but ultimately still got relegated.
I went sparingly that season...
Quite a few have gone.
9 have gone, 11 have come in.
I’d expect one or two more to go tomorrow and maybe one more in.
At the moment our squad is at 32, plus a few first year pros.
There’ll definitely be some players that will have to be unregistered when we submit our squad of 25 to the EFL.
It’s a bit like being on death row this.
We know our fate, we know how it’s going to end, but we have the misery of watching it all play out leading to when the inevitable day arrives.
I’ve been saying for weeks even months, you have to actually see us to believe how bad we are.
So many people have been looking at our players and busy transfer business and saying oh Carlisle will stay up. They clearly haven’t seen us play.
This is the worst EFL team I have ever seen. No...
Do you genuinely believe that though? Or is it an emotional reaction to a defeat? Will you still hold this view if we win next week?
This is why I don’t get carried away after one win like last week. We’ve proved we can win one game every once in a while on a number of occasions, and I’m sure...
I said a month ago that it’s the worst Carlisle United team I’ve ever seen.
11 new signings later and it’s still the worst I’ve ever seen. There’s a good argument that it’s getting worse. Results certainly are.
Maybe just maybe the head coach is the problem.
