I can understand the confusion from the outside, but i have never known a manager to completely wipe a club off all optimism so quickly. Take a look at his post match interview from Saturday and it will give you a jist of what we have had to put up with the last few months.
Awful football...
We have signed striker Charlie Jolley from Wigan for an undisclosed fee. 18 month deal with an option of an extra year.
Wigan fans seem annoyed he's left. Scored for fun in their u18 and u23 teams apparently. One for the future.
Probably opens the door for Payne to leave as well.
Not great. He's been here for almost 2 years now and i still dont know what type of striker he is. He's not fast, not a great finisher, not particularly tall and a threat in the air, suppose hes good at holding it up and chasing lost causes. He's rumoured to be one of our highest earners on 2.5K...
We've signed Danny Lloyd on a short term deal. Spent time at Peterborough, Salford and Stockport. Dont think we need another attacking midfielder but i'll take it.
Liam Feeney confirmed on a season long loan from Blackpool. Most assists in league 1 last season so surprised to see him drop down a division. Looks like a great signing though.
Rumours our end were close to signing Liam Feeney from Blackpool. Was voted their payer of the season last season with highest number of assists, but apparently doesn't fit into the way the new manager wants to play. Would be a good signing if we can pull it off.
Kaiyne Woolery is the latest rumour round here. He has posted on his Instagram that he is staying at our defender Manny Monthe's house. Probably nothing in it but id be happy with that.
Scott Davies

Assume this is how we will set up away to Mansfield, although Ferrier might get a look in.
Mark Ellis signs a contract extension for next season meaning we now have 5 centre backs all more than capable of playing league 2 football. Wouldn't be surprised to see George Ray or Sid Nelson leave.
