Worst for me goes to Colchester. Just everything that is wrong about a football stadium especially when you compare it to Layer Road. Agree with others about Northampton being a bit soulless too.
For sheer stature Bradford’s Valley Parade is brilliant. Leyton Orient is a good away trip as is...
Home to Newport for us. They had the midweek off whilst we went down to Swindon so don’t know if that’ll be a factor.
Our defence is solid but if we do score then it will be no more than 1. Can see a 0-0 or a 1-0 either way. A home win would give us 8 points from the opening 4 matches which...
Well we normally get beat down at Swindon so a point is a solid result. We still haven’t conceded in the league this season and we’re unbeaten but we badly need a new striker. Like really really badly need one.
When you consider the amount of injuries you have had, possibly time to start thinking about what your sports science/strength and conditioning coaches are doing surely?
That was a big difference. Walsall would spend about 15 passes trying to break us down and not get much success whereas from a goal kick, we had carved them open within 3 passes.
I thought both Tranmere and Walsall were solid sides tbh. Both have obvious threats whilst being solid enough at the back. Can see both being there or there abouts come the end of the season.
As has already been determined it was never a red. Merrie played really well I thought. Overall a great...
Genuinely can’t wait for tomorrow. A game of football with no restrictions and a decent sized crowd. I’m even made up that Walsall will be bringing a large away following as will make for a great atmosphere.
It’s been a really tough 18 months for everyone and for many, football is a release...
When we get a new striker in we’ll have a much better team than what we had last season. Early signs but reckon Callum McManaman will be one of the league’s players of the season.
Hopefully we get you in one of the cups :bg:
I’ll go with:
Autos: Bradford, Mansfield and Tranmere
Playoffs: Salford, Forest Green, Northampton and Bristol Rovers
Relegation: Scunthorpe and Hartlepool
Walsall on Saturday will be a good test. We’ve had a good pre season which does good things for the confidence but can’t read into it much in terms of how we’ll fare this season!
We look really solid at the back but up front have struggled a bit. I’m sure we’ll get a new number 9 in before the...
Our supporters have raised £350k meaning our new proposed fan park will be built. It looks incredible and is hoping to be open October/November time so any of you visiting Prenton Park after that will be in for a treat!
Our final pre season game ends in defeat to a full strength Burnley side. We conceded in the 90th min to lose 2-1. Sounded like a great effort from us. That’s our final pre season fixture with our results being:
Tranmere 1-0 Rangers
Stalybridge Celtic 1-3 Tranmere
Warrington Town 0-1 Tranmere...
We won 3-1 away at Stalybridge Celtic with Morris adding the third. Sounds like we completely controlled the game with their goal coming from the penalty spot.
