In one sense I feel sorry for stewards- not all away fans are angels. Turning up p*ssed or drugged up, insistent on doing the opposite of what a steward tells you etc etc. Wouldn't be a steward if you paid me.
Having said that, there are some stewards who seem to take great joy in inflicting...
We are calling this (vs ECFC on Tuesday night) the biggest game of the season so far apparently- it's our game in hand and a win takes us 5 points clear again.
Only about 200 tickets left in the home end at the moment (all depends how many Grecians travel and if we put you in the bike shed or...
Whether we believe it or not doesn't matter- every manager we come up against mentions it, states this is "the benchmark", "need a strong ref" etc etc etc.
Don't matter what us minions think- managers seem to believe it to be the case. Maarmia reaction yesterday after the draw (being...

Need to see the video from the reverse angle (ie behind the players- the "refs view")- there is clearly a tanglement of legs and Anderson heel connects with the leg of the defender.
Looks much more a penalty from the back- from the front looks 100% dive in slo mo
Yep- me too. Scarf away, hood up and head down. Trouble is it really kicked of just where the families were waiting to get back into their coaches (the families bore the brunt of it as they were the first out of the ground after the match finished where the Bury fans ambushed them).
Thought...
Seemed really odd when most of the Bury "vocal" section left the ground with 5 minutes to go- clearly pre planned to get to the away end. Never seen families attacked before as they were leaving a football match so first time for everything- even in 2019.
LCFC appear to be launching an...
Reading the New Fishy, what I see is huge frustration at the ambition of the owners which doesn't match the passion and desire and ambition of the fans.
Some of that will be directed at LCFC because we aren't that far away- I keep reading about mega bucks as well. I am sure I have read...
Probably not far short of it- although someone always throws a curve ball and I think Bury are most likely to be that curveball this season. We appear to have the smallest squad in League 2 but no doubt will be paying some good wages for some of the players we have.
Should have added- I am not stating GTFC are loyal or passionate but I remain convinced the days of "turn up no matter what" are coming to an end for more and more fans
GTFC lowest home end this season against Tranmere- 3090
GTFC highest home end this season against Lincoln - 5392
Somewhere you lost over 2,000 home fans in the space of 7 home league games.
Completely agree, in years gone by, you were less likely to fluctuate but, IMO, fans have become more...
it's a really odd argument.
The argument is- team plays better, has some success and that brings more fans in therefore the new fans are plastic?!? So across every team and in every sport who increase their attendance, anyone new is "plastic".
Judging by GTFC home end attendances this season...
I'm not sure we bent the rules- we didn't ref the game! Did think, with a view from the Terrace, that Toffolo could have seen his challenge go either way (Red or Yellow) but not sure what else we did?
02:29 this morning- left home at 14:10. Didn't arrive at Yeovil until 19:41- roadworks, more roadworks, snow, an accident at Bristol.
Coming back wasn't much better either but 3 points kept me going
Ended up being a comfortable win (IMHO) last night. Wrapped up like a kipper on the terrace with more layers than an onion so wasn't too cold. New team formation with Shacks and Bolger as CBs supported by Bostwick in DM role worked really really well- that, alongside Danny Rowe, were the...
