Same place your fans go when you are poor- only it took us 6 seasons to get to 2,500. It took you 10 games last season to get to the same number (except of course you report ST holders even when they don't turn up so your attendances are actually worse than you report)
Fans follow success when...
I think that's the nub of it- when we aren't both vying for the same prize, I don't think we are bothered about each other too much. When we are in different leagues etc, it isn't as important. When we both want the same thing then it becomes a bit more local- plus we haven't crossed paths...
But, last season, the only time "fans" played handbags with each other was when we played Grimsby at home.
Luton, Coventry, Chesterfield, Mansfield, County- passed out with no more than a few verbals.
Grimsby turn up.......!
Imps vs Grimsby is the biggest football police operation we will...
Found this on you tube- not a bad Vlog from a Town fan. 00:43 is a birds eye view of O'Connors challenge. I've seen them given as red all day long so maybe we were a little lucky!
Didn't know you were such a regular attender at SB to know what the atmosphere is like.
Yesterday was an average game, with an average atmosphere (once the teams had come out and settled down- there's more than enough videos on social media to show you what the atmosphere was like until we scored).
Funny how bitter fans get when they lose- pitiful it was not. Raucous, rousing it wasn't either. It was a routine game for us whereas your fans were selling tickets for £100 to each other....to watch politely and quietly the champions elect.
Whats it like to see a crowd....what's it like to...
You have got a huge signing with Ohman- he is genuine quality and you need to build the team around players like him.
Was too far away for a birds eye view of O'Connor BUT he was running at pace and Ohman ended up on the floor. Have often seen them given as reckless even if not intended.
As...
We should give credit to the 1500 Grimsby fans who travelled to Sincil Bank today.....and then sat politely and quietly and watched the game.
Wasn't a flat atmosphere but we've had better this season at home already (MK Dons particularly).
Typical Derby game- lots of huff and puff and not a huge amount of quality on offer from either team.
Typical Derby result- scrappy 1-0
Town have some half decent players but need someone to pull the strings- they also need a decent forward who can make a nuisance of himself in this league...
It is the best away offer we'll get this season aside from MK (when I haven't got a clue how many we will take to that one).
Funnily I don't think us and County have much of a rivalry- thought your fans down at the Bank for the home game were great and really friendly and willing to have a good...
It will still be 8,500-9,000 for the mid week game- away end won't be as full (same when we played you at your place in November) but it will still be noisy I'm sure.
At this moment in time, we have a great atmosphere at the Bank and a decent away following who generally make themselves heard.
It hasn't always been like this so I am definitely not going to put down any club who are not having the best time right now- we've all been there.
The 617 Squadron...
Sold out the 80% to ST holders with 24 hours (3,100)- remaining 896 on sale to MyImps members tomorrow which will sell out in no time tomorrow evening.
Whether we get any more? Thought the stand held around 4,400 so may get a few more when these final ones sell out
