December will determine whether our blip is more serious or just a case of the gips.
Should be 10 points here and all three away games will have a big away following which will help.
Cup-tied I think. Thought Nadesan was excellent when you were here a few weeks ago- fast, powerful and good football brain. Not sure what your options are but think you'll miss him.
Nah- something much more pure than that. True Lincolnshire rain- been at it all morning. Mind you, surface will be too slippery to play football on.
Looks like another decent crowd for this one (don't take it personally but it's nothing to do with the opposition!) around 7k+.
Agree that is the dilemma- the opportunity to watch a midweek game you cannot attend is great but the slippery slope that sets us all on is very slippery indeed. Lower league clubs have a much greater reliance on match day revenue than PL clubs (some of whom could play to an empty stadium and...
Cambridge away last season- 1900 fans and 1 portacabin- it was absolutely bl**dy freezing and missed 15 minutes of second half just to get a warm drink inside me.
The joys of away days!
Watched on iFollow- not our best game this season and not the best footballing spectacle although both teams had chances 2nd half to win it.
I've seen the red given and I've seen them not given. Oldham struck out tonight with a ref who liked to give!
Absolutely gutted couldn't make the match...
Full list tonight except Swindon (no surprise there)- 4 sub 100's tonight amongst some pretty low attendances anyway.
214 Cumbrians on a 375 mile round trip to Meadow Lane is worth a shout out though- alongside 610 Imps fans across the penines
Lincoln (at Oldham) 610
Tranmere (at Grimsby) 203...
This season particularly the catering, around the ground, has been under a new contractor and it is clear the service, quality and general experience is pretty dire. Saves me £7 a game now but I am guessing the contractor has already paid for the contract so any failure to maximise the selling...
I'm sure every Imps player who played against Chelsea U23 in the Checkatrade Semi last season saw it as competitive (if for nothing else because those players earn significantly more than any EFL2 player) with a Wembley appearance to add to their memories.
Whether it SHOULD be part of...
I completely agree that almost all clubs (including LCFC) have devalued the Checkatrade by putting out almost a reserve team with a couple of first team players and the ridiculous situation (new this season) that red and yellow cards don't carry into the league hasn't helped either.
I'll leave...
I understand all that but, if I understand anything about the Potteries rivalry, it is bigger than any competition. Like the Steel City rivalry- it doesn't matter what the game is, if the game is against the arch enemy, the game is "on".
Vale fans really are in a catch 22. Lose and Stoke kids...
I think I'll have to give up at this point- the reason almost 900 Imps fans travelled to Scunthorpe in the Checkatrade is because it was a local game- local rivalry- local bragging rights.
And our local "rivalry" is nothing compared to Vale and Stoke- this could be Stoke U7s vs Vale U7s. It is...
You've really made my point for me- doesn't matter what you think, this is the first time (competitively) Vale and Stoke have met for 16 years and Stoke fans aren't letting that fact pass by. If you chose to put a second string out then that's your choice. It's a cup competition with a trophy...
A ref will never see everything but got most things right- yellow cards showed a 3-1 win for Mansfield which, as a ratio, is probably where we compare all season on yellows.
