    League Two 22/23

Think Grimsby deserved to win promotion overall, winning at Notts, Wrexham and now London. Coming from behind 4 times in the process. Commiserations to Solihull who played their part in a thoroughly entertaining final and who I thought would go on and win the game.

Grimsby over Solihull for me. The pros and cons for both clubs have been covered pretty accuratley in this thread.

He certainly puts the mileage in. Can see why Micky Melon has signed him.

    Stickied League 2 Transfer Rumours/Confirmed Transfers 2024/25

Yes. If he was 20 years younger, league one and Championship clubs would be queuing up to take him. Suffers from the odd brain fart, but who doesn’t at this level.

Wonder why Harry McKirdy never won it !

Think one or two of that Wrexham defence would struggle to get a game in the NPL. Have to admit I had a sly snigger when the Grimsby winner went in. Always support British teams in Europe, but the silver lining to Liverpool’s defeat means i’m going to be spared a summer of cheesy Kloppermania...

Nightmare performance from Mansfield. Got to give Port Vale their due though, who have put in an incisive and measured performance!

Great game, thought Grimsby played the better football and deserved the win.

    League Two 22/23

Solihull Moors is the friendliest football club I’ve ever visited. They really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. BUT it’s in the middle of nowhere with very poor public transport and other than the football club itself, has zero facilities . Makes Dover Athletic look like the San...

Me. I have to change trains 3 times and it’s shit when you get there. Could do without that next season.

    The L2 Playoffs

Don’t think neither team deserved to lose the tie. Cruel to lose on penalties. Lots of if‘s and buts for Swindon. Credit to Port Vale for a very solid performance and for showing such resilience in the penalty shoot out.

    The L2 Playoffs

How are Port Vale going to stop Harry McKirdy? Must be tempting for defenders to have a nibble at him. Especially after last nights referee’s reluctance to send anyone off.

    The L2 Playoffs

From what I saw of the game, Northampton didn’t get any of the big decisions. Didn’t think Mansfield had it in them to defend like that, so well done to them for that.

Please not Solihull. As friendly a club as they are, our tin pot quota is full.

Welcome back to the EFL Stockport County.

Surely, 2-0 up against Halifax. Happy to see you back and especially for those 3000 diehards who stuck with you during the last decade or so.

    The L2 Playoffs

Quite enjoyed watching both 1st legs as a neutral with both ties set up nicely for the 2nd legs. No one has embarrassed themselves in front of the cameras. Will be interesting to see how Nigel Clough and Ben Garner set up tactically away from home because I think neither clubs strongpoints is...

Sending off in this game i fancy. Harry McKirdy has really got Vale riled up. Only a matter of time before someone gives him a kick.
