As much as I want to win to be sure of the title, I'll feel really sorry for Port Vale if knock them out of the playoffs. I've been there and it really sucks.
For once I'm joining our resident optimist and say I'm pretty confident. The main thing we've added as a squad this year is resilience and ability to win ugly. Having got themselves into the position I can't see the players throwing the title away now, whatever it takes.
Family stuff on so won't be able to watch the match, but I'll be sneaking looks at the scores whenever possible. Should be a good game. Confident in our ability to beat anyone, but hoping Mansfield will do us a favour so our result doesn't matter much.
As mentioned we rarely sell out, so not worth it at present. I guess we'll have to see what happens next season and beyond, but I can't see it happening. There is no realistic (and low-risk) way we can fund a stadium without someone giving us a load of money. Although our ground is prime city...
Unfortunately there isn't really any way to redevelop on the current site because of the roads and railway line. Moving, either to a new site or a groundshare with the chiefs, would be too expensive, so it is what it is for the foreseeable future.
Obviously pretty chilled out about the final two games. Title would be nice, but not going to cry about it. Northampton a really tough game, right on form and we have an atrocious record against them.
A draw would be nice, to keep the title race going to the last day no matter what FGR do, but...
