If we don’t go up I don’t think us celebrating a win after being 1-0 down in the 92nd minute is football biting us back. It’s celebrating in the moment.
Jones particularly enjoyed it becuase he received abuse all game and was even spat at by an Orient fan at one point.
Charlton have been crap...
Sold out for Stockport away which is very good for us, given it's an early KO. We've never had a great away following but it's really picking up which is nice. I remember a Saturday 3pm away at Wolves in the Champ where we took about 300.
Absolutely massive game for both sides. It's been a long time since I've felt this nervous for a game. With Orient, Barnsley and Stockport in the space of a week, it really is make or break.
If the game was originally on a Saturday, the club can turn down having it shown on Sky Sports + on a Tuesday which Birmingham have done. I’m guessing they’re hoping enough people use a VPN to pay for it in their streaming service
In our last 14 games, this expects us to win 11, lose 5 and have minus 2 draws. Either it knows something about us having some results overturned or it's not very super
The better side tends to come out on top over two legs, less room for a freak one off result. Imagine coming third by some distance and losing on pens in a one legged game against a side who scraped 6th who sat 11 players behind the ball to grind out a 0-0
Kayne Ramsay is a hell of a player, I have no idea how he was in League Two last season. Already comfortably a championship player and even if we go up, he’ll be above and beyond us next season. All the money spent this season in this league and he might be the best player in the league
Exeter were pathetic. I’d be fuming if I’d travelled all that way to see that but fair play to their support. Never even tried to get going. Easiest win we will have this season. We did look good but it’s difficult to read into it given how bad Exeter were
It wouldn't surprise me. We aren't big scorers so it's always likely to be a close game. In the last couple of months we've been able to really limit chance teams have had but there's definitely still vulnerability at the back.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if we don't beat you. We are definitely vulnerable at the back and don't score loads so are there for the taking. We tend to go man for man at the back so we are quite easy to play the ball over the top of, only Rotherham have actually seemed to figure that out so...
Simply a must win. We are in decent form, especially at The Valley. We still struggle to cut teams open though and are over reliant on late goals. I think this could be closer than some might expect. Big wins for Birmingham, Cambridge and Peterborough please and an Orient (draw/win) not sure...
Results certainly didn't go our way last night. I can see it being a battle between us, Bolton, Huddersfield and Reading for 6th as Orient look really good and can see them pushing further up. Could all change quickly though as Orient now have Bolton, Brum and Charlton in a week, whilst we have...
Will be watching the Orient game later. Orient are the best team I've seen this season, excluding the Brummie Galacticos, so will be interesting to see how they get on tonight in a really tough away day. Pretty huge game given their fixtures, they'll really want to keep momentum up going into a...
I'm not convinced on it being lesser and rare tbh, we've had 2 incidents in League One this weekend as well as on the pitch in the championship. My wife is from HK and has joined me at about 15 Charlton games in the last 5 years and been racially abused twice. It's seemingly on the rise again.
