Possibly one of our other attacking midfield targets after Pritchard fell through. Read plenty of decent things about Dack but he's obviously unproven at this level - reckon he'd make the step up?
We were pretty poor this afternoon, never got going. Reading looked quite threatening going forward at times through McCleary and Beerens especially. Point is respectable given all that. Can't win 'em all.
He wasn't really. Had a promising start but seemed forever dogged by illness and only really showed occasional flashes of his talent. When we needed him to deliver in front of goal at the crunch last season he came up short. I'm sure we didn't see the best of him though.
Ha. That would work...
Staggering stuff - and from seemingly their most sought after player, too.
Not sure it's the most subtle way to go about spot-fixing, for those thinking it seems a little fishy..
Unless your club is in absolute dire straits and you're attempting to drive out a manager/owners who are clearly out of their depth, no. And even then I've always maintained there's fewer more cringeworthy sights than a fully grown man deciding to express their genuine anger at something with a...
Welcome back Glenn. :ohy: The finisher we've been craving for a few years now.
Plenty more to come I reckon.
Hope Stockdale's injury isn't too serious. Would be a big loss.
Col. U at home. We're traditionally terrible in the league cup. Expect Hughton will give a load of youngsters/fringe players a run out, especially as our next league game is on Friday night.
Did wonder whether a club might fork out the big money for Wells, or at least test Huddersfield's resolve. Personally don't think he's quite in the same league as the likes of Gray and Wilson before him who are similar sort of strikers that also came from the lower divisions.
Few of our fans...
Have big hopes for that boy. He's got a sweet, sweet left foot as I'm sure you'll come to witness. Was sort of hoping we might loan him out to a FL club but I'm sure he'll still learn plenty at Dagenham. Look after him, cheers.
Also, what was up with Hughes not starting? Assumed he must've been injured until I saw he came off the bench. Bizarre as he's been a real thorn in our side on numerous occasions (including as recently as May). Martin too, but I'm guessing Pearson thinks certain players will suit his system...
^ good shout.
Sounded like we created a decent number of chances though and could (possibly should) have won it. But encouraging way to start the season nonetheless.
Draw a fair result for those who went? Seemed we had to ride out a couple of early scares as Derby came out the blocks quickly...
As it stands Bruno is filling in at centre half, which concerns me. We'll probably get bullied in the air (if Pearson does his homework).
Also annoyed I can't make it tomorrow. Draw will do me just fine.
