    Oh dear, you got Blythed.

Harris not one of the three, but did leave for Wrexham on Friday. Welch-Hayes, Osadebe and Vassell are the ones who had their contracts cancelled.

Saturday 1st February Match Thread (less whatever match Swindon are playing in)

We only managed 5 subs last night, and Stephens went off injured so could be interesting.

Reported that three of our players have gone to the EFL to get their contracts terminated, and have succeeded.

    Tuesday 28th match thread

Rodney Parade remains unvisited for me. Tried to go there the first time in non-league only for it to be called off when we'd got to Newport; both times since promotion have now been on a Tuesday night (conceeded a 97th min equaliser there last season). Everyone we have who can play right back...

All 25th Jan games, except Swindon v Vale.

May not have been a fully deserved win (only 2 shots on target) but a goal worthy of winning any game: Cracker One way to avoid having to use our dodgy pitch...

All 25th Jan games, except Swindon v Vale.

Sounded like a bit of a robbery, but with a goal of the season to win it. Very useful 3 points!
  8. Semi-skimmed Silk

All 25th Jan games, except Swindon v Vale.

That contrasts with the reports I've heard that unanimously state we were dreadful in the first half.
  9. Semi-skimmed Silk

All 25th Jan games, except Swindon v Vale.

You lot were very generous with the donated money before Christmas, if you'd like to be as generous on the pitch then that'd be great cheers.

    Midweek match day 21st Jan

Our pitch is crap (not as bad as some judging on highlights), caused by us having to train on it. Doesn't suit our style of play either as we have no height beyond CBs, though i guess we may be more used to it.

Revenge for our late equaliser last season.

People picking up on the fact we haven't conceeded many/only lost once in 17 at home; guranteed to lose 5-0 now.

    Stickied League 2 Transfer Rumours/Confirmed Transfers 2024/25

Also re-signed (4th time i guess?) Danny Whitehead on loan from Salford who they've clearly deemed surplus to requirments after signing half of League One. Not sure who is approving these signings, or if we've actually agreed to pay any other eithers' wages.

Can't see us troubling you too much. However, if Kirby (suspended for when we were supposed to play) scores the winner then Artell's head might explode.

    18th Jan match thread

While we're only 1 win in 14 (also vs Cambridge), additionally we've only managed 3 wins in 24 with two of those wins being countered by our points deduction so i raise you our record.

    Promotion Thread

To be fair several times we only had 2 outfield players on the bench, which didn't help. He is fiercely loyal to a team that wins. Even if someone has to play hideously out of position to cover for injury/suspension - and you win - he'll stick with it for the next game regardless. Also problems...

    Promotion Thread

Absolutely no reason why Vale can't make the play-offs. However, (and i'm not agreeing with Devon Lad in any way) we did suffer a second-half of the season slump and fade from play-off contenders to lower top half under Askey for 2 or 3 years before it all came together. Not saying that's going...

We are appealing our 6-point deduction (due to the EFL failing in its appeal re:Bolton).
