If Salford come up then they are far more likely to go straight up again rather than back down. Their budget probably surpasses most clubs in this division (not that I have any figures to support this).
I was there too (in the away end mind) and had the same thought. Presumably it's because Chorley don't normally segregate so the fans would normally swap ends at half time. Their players are probably just used to it.
Promising signs for Altrincham despite the defeat. More than a match for...
Poor old Wrexham. Unlucky with decisions and missed chances. Go again next season but do something about that front line.
Guess I'm becoming an honorary Eastleigh fan for the semi final now....
Cheltenham managed it too but I agree with what you're saying. Normally big clubs tend to finish poorly in the first season but lay the foundations for an attack on the promotion places in subsequent seasons. Then it's a case of trying your luck in the play-offs as many times as it takes until...
I remember fearing the worst when he arrived but he's actually been very good for us - quick and pretty good on the ball for a centre half. Definitely one to keep next season. I imagine he'll take a few Vale fans by surprise on Saturday.
Nervous about this one. Got to aim for the win assuming the worst happens elsewhere. If Jules, Kelleher and MWH can replicate the performance they put in on Monday then we may well grind out a result. We'll need the attacking players to up their game from last weekend though.
I don't think he would take any pleasure in relegating us. But I'm sure he will approach the match in a professional way regardless of any feelings he has towards the club. He has his own career to take care of above all else.
Probably not but it should be our biggest following of the season...
We managed to hold Newport with a makeshift team. Incredibly low on quality going forward but better defensively than we've been in a while. Decent point given the other results. One more win from our winnable last two would probably do it.
Given how he was forced out of Macc last summer, I'm sure he would love to get revenge on the owner by relegating us. I think we will just about survive though, if we end the season without a win in 5 games then we will have well and truly shot ourselves in the foot.
You could say this about...
The problem with the 4-5-1 is that we don't have anyone to play on the left wing because the squad is so unbalanced. It would have to be someone like Martis or Marsh playing out of position. But I agree that the back five should be scrapped for the run in given the absence of Pearson and now...
Very true, thankfully we sometimes play better than that else we'd have been relegated long ago. At least it was an improvement on our last performance against Northampton....
Cameron, Stephens and Smith - don't know how serious any of them are yet. Plus Pearson was already missing and Rose and Whitaker can't play two games in one weekend meaning we might have a few selection problems on Monday.
We were awful today and picked up a few injuries just to make things worse. I expect we will lose on Monday so Notts and Yeovil will have a chance to escape escape the bottom two if either of them finally manage to win.
Very hard to call what will happen now. Notts have the easier run in but...
