And if PPG is considered unfair as it is then deliberately discounting games, thus further reducing an already incomplete sample of games, would be insane!
Non league players get found out at this level. Clubs promoted into this division, particularly smaller ones, have to strengthen significantly before they can really compete. That's assuming we get a 'normal' L2 next season of course.
Depends if any more games are played this season I suppose. The one slight positive is that is that we're still not bottom even with 11 points now deducted.
Our owner did that years ago.... I dread to think what sort of position ourselves and others will end up in after months without income.
And the FL money is just an advance of the basic payment we'd have got at the end of the season isn't it? Just means the cash flow problem gets postponed...
No they all left in January but basically any player who has a transfer lined up can cancel their contract at any time.
I haven't seen us play since early in the season but back then Theo was a decent winger and chipped in with a few goals. His development here has probably been stunted by our...
We're still awaiting the result of the charge from back in December, plus our appeal from the one before that. No idea where we stand after all that, or when we'll even find out.
Defence is now shipping soft goals unlike earlier in the season and lacking cover. Midfield looks very lightweight now that Harris is gone. Attack has been toothless all season and now severely lacking in numbers, hence why Blyth has been getting so much game time recently.
In previous months...
By all accounts we we're playing like a side whose off field issues have finally caught up with them. As if things couldn't get any worse we are now deep in a relegation battle and Morecambe are suddenly looking more comfortable. Sounds like fans are turning on Kennedy as well.
Our next five...
As has been mentioned, our points deduction for the Plymouth postponement hasn't been decided yet but likely to be another 4 points. Not had a result from our appeal either but I imagine it will be rejected, which will most likely cut our advantage over Stevenage to 3 points. Apparently Westley...
Vassell's a solid defender but has missed a fair bit of the season with an injury. Think he's almost fit again now though. Osadebe is a bit of a maverick but very frustrating - unplayable for a few games back in August but very inconsistent ever since.
Not wishing to repeat what has already been said, he can also take a mean penalty if needed. Good signing for you, the first of several key players departing for us I fear.
Our argument will be that Bolton surely also had financial irregularities (and called off more games as well) and weren't punished anywhere near as severely as we were. Clearly we deserve to be punished but compared to the size of the deduction Bolton got, I would say we are justified in...
Try telling us that. I wish we'd had a soft as shit independent panel to let us off pretty much Scott free. Bet Bury would have appreciated similar leniency from the FL as well. It will really kick off if you stay up and we go down after all this.
Can't speak for everyone but I just can't muster enough enthusiasm to go to games the longer all this misery drags on. Not great numbers for sure but cut us some slack given the current situation.
He spoke with Silk FM last night and said it's been agreed in principle. But until he's had a closer look at the clubs finances I'm not getting too confident just yet. Got to hope that there are no more nasty surprises behind the scenes else we'll be back to square one.
I imagine our squad will be substantially weaker once January comes around so you may not be too disadvantaged playing us later in the season. For us it's a very profitable game so it's vital we get it played.
