The budget doesn't come from gate receipts alone. But a big factor is certainly being in the division above this one. From there you can get better money from player sales and it's easier to go on a good cup run. I think our admission was £18 seating and £15 standing at the time so slightly...
1300 will if you make good use of the loan market and go with the smallest squad size possible. We managed to get by like this in the Conference while our finances were on the mend. However it leaves next to no money left over for ground maintenance etc so wouldn't advise it as a long term solution.
As said above Scunthorpe should really have scored a couple in that first half but really folded after half time. We weren't great but fairly steady throughout, especially in a short spell in the second half when we scored. Hardly a classic but we'll take the win and forget about the performance.
*Macclesfield
Luckily for Scunthorpe scoring goals isn't exactly our specialty. But I'm hopeful we'll have learnt from Tuesday's mugging against Morecambe and be a bit more clinical in the final third this time round. I suggest keeping the wing backs on their correct sides would be a...
Sickening viewing that. Had a lot of the ball but did so little with it and ended up playing right into Morecambe's hands. They scored from their first real foray into our box and saw the game out masterfully. But it was our own inability to cross the ball or hold it up that's cost us the game...
Those on here whose teams have been in the conference recently will know of his record with Ebbsfleet and their style of play. I'm hopeful he'll do well here, especially as he's inheriting a decent looking squad to work with.

I think you'll find that out of all the Tuesday fixtures, clearly only Macclesfield v Morecambe will attract enough interest to be worthy of its own thread.
What a start to the season we've had. Chance to put some real daylight between ourselves and the bottom placed sides with two winnable home games coming up.
Last season we lost both times, and by an aggregate score of 8-1. Should be closer this time, especially if our back three can keep Harry Smith under close control.
I'd like to see Danny Whitaker get the job now. Bit of consistency could be valuable especially as we're playing well at the moment. That's assuming he's not left along with the other lead coaches of course.
I'd say his biggest achievement has been his recruitment over the summer in spite of our off field troubles. I honestly can't believe how well he's got us playing in these opening fixtures and it's such a shame we'll never get to see how far he could have taken us this season. Hopefully his...
Yeah I can hardly believe what a competitive squad Sol has managed to put together despite our own ownership issues. And you're right about our freakishly good penalty record - I think we've won something like 10 out of 11 in our history, only loss being in the Checkatrade which I've decided...
Shit footy bantz init. As you say, you've heard it all before and it was only a few kids so best not lose too much sleep over it. Anyway good luck in the league, going off last night you should be quite a threat this season.
Thought we were decent again against Blackpool. Outplayed in the main but rode our luck, scored one particularly good goal and eventually edged it on pens, as per. Grimsby next up is uninspiring but fairly winnable - after all, it's written in the stars that Sol will get us to round 3 and then...
Away at Blackpool for us. A cup run would be nice so hopefully they make a load of changes. Obviously the league comes first though so I'd be happy to see us rest a couple of players from Saturday, possibly Archibald and Ironside who looked a bit tired on Saturday and Harris who's in his 30s.
