We had 36 year old Michael Rose and 38 year old Danny Whitaker spraying the ball around in midfield last season. No wonder we finished so high in the table
We may just scrape 100 with it being our first visit in a few years and on a Saturday. Obviously it's a hell of a trek but the only times in the last couple of years where we've dipped below 100 have been Tuesday nighters.
Exeter A - they were a big help in keeping us up last season so I wouldn't begrudge them getting the points this time round. Lose
Orient H - not sure what they'll be like so early in the season. Draw
Northampton A - aren't they quite good this season? Lose
Morecambe H - got 0-0 written all...
We have exactly 11 players signed up, no keeper but beggars can't be choosers.

I'd rather Tranmere have stuck around next season but oh well, congratulations and good luck to them. But their fans have no right to complain about refereeing decisions ever again.
Very happy for Connor Jennings though.
Burgess is most likely one for the future because I doubt he's currently good enough for the FL. Perhaps it was because of his age but he hardly stood out in non league, let alone in League 2.
Having said that, he's definitely an Askey type of player so perhaps not a bad prospect for Vale.
Yep, just about. However he may well have been carrying a slight injury towards the end of the season because his form dipped a bit in the final few games. Having him and Jules already under contract gives us a solid base to build from.
Good in the air and a handful for defenders but can't finish to save his life and can get quite wound up when things aren't going his way.
But that's not to say he's a bad player. If you play to his strengths he will do well for you.
Before my time so i don't know the details but looking back it certainly seems a bit strange. We'd actually hosted some Chester games in the FL a couple of years earlier so either the ground requirements had changed or the ground itself had deteriorated massively in the intervening years which...
That's kind of the point isn't it? Similar to the "you're just a small town in [insert local town]" chant, it's deliberately inaccurate to wind up the locals.
But I agree these songs get very tiresome.
Durrell would be a good signing for someone in this league. I can't imagine him wanting to stick around here with our current financial situation. Plus it doesn't look like he gets on with Sol as well as he did with Askey. Would be a bit galling to lose our best player on a free to a league...
