This has to be a draw. It is far better for the rest of us if 4pts are dropped between them than 1 team drop 3.
I wouldn't wish injury on anybody - but it would be nice if wycombe were pushed for choice on Saturday.
Perhaps you could contrive to have 2 or 3 wycombe players sent off so we could...
Having read the heavily biased reports in the Oxford press, and the even more biased reports in the Carlisle press I decided to get a neutral point of view. I have just watched the football league show. Not a single shot by Carlisle .
Nuff said.
The positives.
Jabo didn't score - Chey Dunkley had him completely wrapped up.
Neither did Asaboah.
In fact the top scores in L2 couldn't breach our defence. We had to do it for them.
Drawing at home to anybody in the top 7 is no shame - I am happy with the point.
Probably the best team to...
Right - I have weighed up all the pros and cons of this match and finally reached my conclusions.
But first let me say - I have just sent the wife down the road to buy a marzipan hat. I may need to eat it.
Much to my chagrin - I don't think we will keep a clean sheet. In fact I think we will...
Just been reading the match report from last time we met at the Kassam - 28th March earlier this year.
http://www.oufc.co.uk/fixtures-results/match-report/index.aspx?matchid=3735831
Since then we have a pretty good record
Won 22
Drawn 11
Lost 3
Goals for: 59
Against 21(!)
You all seem to praising the recent exploits of Charlie Wyke. Granted I have never seen him play - but from the highlights of your last game v Welling I was not overly impressed. You were playing a part time team placed over a league below you who had been reduced to 10 men.
Anything less...
Sorry about the very poor thread title - it is hard to think of something without appearing facetious.
This is going to be a very intriguing match. Will recent events galvanise Carlisle in their resolve or will the lack of time and place to train make them rusty. Will Oxford have...
I suspect this may be the number of tickets sold - not the number that turned up.
None the less - considering the cirumstances - it was still an excellent effort and result.
Incidentally - there appear to be a few of usuals missing from this forum which suggests to me they are suffering...
I drove past Welling's ground this morning. There was a TV pantechnicon parked outside. You could become famous.:bye:
Oh - and if you are thinking of coming by rail - forget it. The line is closed for maintenance this weekend and there is no replacement bus service.
