Very happy to be posting this in the league 2 Forum.
Martin Allen extends his contract - the biggest signing of the summer for us.
As for our retained list:
Released: Lee Cook (high wages & faded big time) & Jack Saville.
“We will be taking up the options to extend the contracts of Andy...
Well done Bristol Rovers & Grimsby - both outclassed your opponents in both legs and some cracking goals (especially by Grimsby).
Like Urban I would rather Eastleigh went up simply for yet another local game and I think they would have been less of a threat than you 2.
The attendance should...
Thanks for all the kind messages especially by the Bristol Rovers fans - very gracious.
It has been in our hands since August (like our previous Championship) and I am proud of how we picked it up again in the last month or 2 after our blip.
CHAMPIONES!
It is going to be weird (although not at all uncommon for the conference) to have basically no away fans at 2 sold out grounds tomorrow.
How many are Alfreton taking? Having you given them a small section compared to normal?
You definitely can't comprehend Boreham Wood then (rather than Concord who can't make it) :bg:
If we do stay down then I would want Borehamwood to join Bromley. Borehamwood is closer to Barnet & Underhill than the Hive, so the trip would actually be shorter than most for a home game!
Have we been on the mos this season? 4 times I think (Dover, Torquay, Grimsby, Dartford). Got a feeling Rovers have been on at least that many times as well?
I assume BT will wait until after Saturday's games to decide the final game (or games?).
I would say at least 850-900 Barnet fans (leaving 730-680 Dartford fans). We had more behind the goals than them and in the 2nd half there wasn't 1 Dartford fan in our attacking half. Also noticed a group of 15-20 Barnet fans strangely by the defending corner flag.
Good support by the top 3...
It should have been 3 1-0 wins in a row, it it wasn't for that penalty at Alfreton.
I can see the next 3 games being horribly similar, but I do fear if we are not clinical enough then at least 1 of those 3 (most likely Halifax) will punish us like Alfreton did.
It's very interesting isn't it! The team with the points has the hardest fixtures.
The tough thing for Grimsby is they need not only us to realistically slip up twice but also Rovers to slip up as well. That's why they're 7/1 with the bookies. If we don't make it I'd rather Grimsby go up so we...
Good luck all squeezing into the Victoria Inn to watch our game before hand! The projector turns off every 10 mins or so as well - very frustrating on Saturday lol!
Any advice on where to drink between Southampton Airport Parkway & the Eastleigh ground?
Can we definitely drink in the social bar if the game is segregated?
That is seriously the most disappointing thing to watch recently, why the bloody hell do we go long ball. Akinde is actually crap in the air, it's his weakest part of the game and he is absolutely deadly with the ball at his feet either holding players off or running against them.
I'd be happy...
And on the 21st!
We've got 4 of the bottom 6 before the season ends. Not the best time to play then when they are scrapping for their lives in this league.
