Doesn’t feel like we’re one of the worst 2 sides right now but we’ve got to put the points on the board. Opportunities like today against one of the weaker teams at home are fast running out. Surely Colchester and Salford won’t carry on as they are forever.
Been a story or 2 that Smith is attracting attention (FGR, Mansfield, Bradford). Not sure if just agent trying to drum up some interest or if anything in it.
We really need to win this one. There’ll be some very tired legs after another hour or so with 10 men Friday following the Boxing Day derby. But we have to find a way. Hopefully Gape rested for Gillingham so he can play this one which at least gives us one fresh midfielder. Assume we’ll appeal...
Infuriating for us. We’ve always been well behaved. Unfortunately a few young uns have come along with our ride to league football and think this stuff is all a right good laugh. Money we can’t afford to chuck away either.
Dizzying heights of 2 centre backs fit (even if for just a half) and 2 left backs. Add in Gape and our availability is starting to turn.
A lot to ask for but back to back wins for the first time in forever would have us believing.
There’s always empty seats in sell outs as people congregate with mates in other areas. Am sure a few swerved who initially bought though given recent suffering.
Feels like a lifetime ago! It did look positive opening day, obviously a complete one off for both clubs! And there was a sending off fairly early on. Oddly we’ve only won 3 league games and 2 of them have been by a 4 goal margin.
Hard to see past somewhere between very comfortable and totally embarrassing AFCW win. Can’t find a fit centre half. We’re a big physical team with no big physical players apart from Smith and at a push Kizzi. Anything less than 3 will feel like a minor triumph.
Awful first half from Sutton but improved 2nd. Not sure why we’re playing Bouzanis, doesn’t even look like he’s in the best 2 keepers at the club on current form. Never saves anything and kicking is abysmal. Slightly unfortunate for that his flap landed on someone’s head to give Mansfield the...
He’s head (I think) of our academy. Turned down the main job previously a good 15 years back and think he turned down Newport too. Seems to have not fancied being in charge and not a great track record when he did.
He was very popular as a player, always thought he got away with being bang...
I don’t think it can be from within as part of the same group. It has to be a change now they’ve decided to pull the plug on Gray. Mark Bonner certainly fits the bill and think he took over Cambridge when scrambling around the bottom of L2? And made an impact quickly. But he knew the club very...
Well that’s the million dollar question right there, literally. Not sure we are capable of finding enough for quality players to commit to the cause a la Gillingham last season. Maybe it depends on the managerial appointment but again not sure who we can realistically pick up.
Think we probably have, but certainly not more than 1 or 2. Probably a few have been given the opportunity to resign which amounts to the same thing lol.
Can’t see you having any problems. We just don’t have a fit enough defenders, nor good enough midfielders, to keep good sides at bay at the moment. A managerial team of Guardiola and Klopp won’t be able to change that for Saturday. We won’t have anyone other than old regime in place for Sat, or...
Sad day, given us something we never thought we’d see. I wish him well and he’s young enough to bounce back and do a good job somewhere else. I’d imagine the board decided they had to try something as may be our only crack at establishing ourselves.
It’ll be interesting who we can attract...
