Wow, if you think that was one of your two worst refs of the season then you've had an amazing run. He literally gave us 2 or 3 free kicks second half (which were free kicks, yet your fans weirdly moaned about them). We're talking about refs who have a material affect on the game. It could...
Mmmm...after your team and manager lied and said they'd been attacked on the pitch at our playoff game- a proven lie. Plus you thought you'd won the playoff after the first game, both team and manager. I'm not sure whether your team or fans is as likeable as you think.
I don't think there's any conspiracy against us but when people say it evens itself out, it simply hasn't with us. Today's ref was a joke. We know what Accrington are going to try and do, and they dud it in spades. The ref fell for it. Do they not research who they are refereeing before the...
A little trickle that we might be getting Paul Mullen on loan. Don't think it could be true but we are supposedly signing a 'name' before deadline. This has come from a couple of different people.
Was excellent when he first came. Good attacking right wing back with good ability and scored a couple.
He has, however, got a bit of a casual manner about him, which caused him to be the fault behind a couple of goals. His form went rapidly downhill with the team, but there's definitely...
This is what I don't get about this league. Doncaster looked dire the other week against us and are now 2nd and 4 points ahead of us (albeit with a game in hand). Just shows what a little run of consistency can do.
What's happened to Barrow? They looked a decent side earlier in the season but...
Accrington at home. It's a fixture that I bet every team in the division looks at and thinks it's 3 points for the taking. They then turn up, some of your team are not quite on it and then before you know it they've got a point or 3. We've been stung by them a few times, particularly at their...
I thought Wimbledon were the best team we've played this season. Strong, physical but with a couple of decent footballers. We beat them but we were proper hanging on at the end. Would not surprise me one bit if they are top 3 at the end of the season.
Loans are always a dangerous game. The gamble has kind of paid off for you this time but it doesn't always work. We got stung with Arblaster last season, who was carrying us through games. I think you'll be absolutely fine and still win the league by a canter but as you say, you need to invest...
Yep. Bit of an anomaly I think due to the budgets involved. The usual dance in this league is not about being particularly good but just nicking results when needed.
No side is really decent at this level. It's a case of doing enough to get to league 1 and then investing massively in the hope that you can push on. The fact that barely any team can put a run together shows how poor the league is.
Seems like everyone is awful and the 3 auto promoted teams will be the 3 least awful. To be fair Walsall can afford to lose a few, so I'd be pretty relaxed if I was them. Results kind of went how I anticipated tonight, it's so tight that the auto promotion places will swap several times...
This was a photo one of our fans took driving into Colchester this afternoon. Said there was no rain south of Cambridge. How on earth has the pitch become unplayable? I wouldn't put anything past the Cowley sisters to be honest.
Just that I think. Another guy on our forum says that he lives 15 minutes away from Colchester. It's been raining on and off but not heavy or prolonged.
To be unable to get a pitch suitable for football in fairly benign conditions is absolutely pathetic.
Another guy in Cambridgeshire (not a...
True, but a lot will have paid for trains and one guy is coming in from Denmark!
Irrelevant of if there's been a bit of rain, there's no excuse for having this called off. I bet there won't be any other game called off.
It means we have to cram more games in at the business end of the season...
