Genuinely think we're in danger of a double relegation now. Complete turmoil behind the scenes with key players and now the manager jumping ship. We have a bunch of amateurs running the club who just sit idly by and do NOTHING above the bare minimum.
Not strictly squad related, but far more important at this stage: Darrell Clarke is in talks over an improved contract with us. Would be absolutely massive if we can get that over the line.
Effort, work rate etc second to none. But he can't finish for shit, only scored twice all season and both came in the same match (although he has had two more incorrectly ruled out).
He's out of contract now I believe - I'd probably offer him another year to see if he can do it in L2 but it's...
Agree entirely, we've had our chances and with a bit more quality (or every one of our chances falling to Taylor) we'd be fine.
Olayinka's chance with 10-15 minutes to go was a prime example - Matty Taylor buries that, but I wouldn't be confident in any of our other players in that position...
Just a bit. Reckon your boys will be motivated to drag Burton down with you? Charlie Adam strikes me as the type who'd want to do just that. Or is that wishful thinking :dk:
Can't deny we've lucked out here with the Boro lineup, they've largely looked a complete mess. Better towards the end of the half though as we've sat back.
2-0 but we should have 4 or 5. The last 10 minutes have been worrying though, we've started sitting back and inviting pressure. If we keep doing that, we're not good enough to stop them from scoring.
Same for me. Think for me it's because, despite the start we had, it really feels like we should have survived this year but have thrown it away a bit. So many points dropped from winning positions, heaps of bad luck and then horror shows like Carlisle and Rovers recently...all we had to do was...
I don't think we'll win tomorrow tbh, even if it's against Posh B team. Half our squad is out injured and the other half seem to be playing through injuries. Not a recipe for success against what will be a young team with fresh legs and a chance to impress their manager.
Couldn't watch our game but expected a defeat. More pissed off at Reading, what the fuck are they doing conceding 3 and losing to that Burton side??
That's us all but gone then. Major overhaul needed in summer, arguably from board level down.
