Was expecting to be sick with nerves, instead I’m just sick from a cracking hangover. Ideal preparation for a game that’s going to be excruciating to watch anyway..
I remember it happening with Danny Rose a few years back, just before he joined Pompey. He played for both Oxford and Northampton over the season, moving to the latter in Jan; both were promoted. Prestigious club though, no doubt!
In isolation that's a great result for us really, there was a huge amount of pressure on the team and they ground it out. So it's back to FP with the knowledge that all we can do is just do our job and see what happens.. K-Win's bang on though, pressure does funny things at this stage of the...
It's a mammoth race! I'm not sure how we ground out both wins this weekend but somehow we clawed our way through them, it's a sign of how determined our team is - they have a bloody brilliant mentality which makes up for any lack of quality.
I think it's Barnsley's to lose, I just really...
We’re definitely in the stage now where just one game could have a huge impact on the final standings.. if anybody loses on Monday that could be curtains, especially with Sunderland vs Pompey coming up on Saturday. No slip ups.
My nerves were shredded yesterday, I’m going to be a hollow shell...
It’s an unbelievably tight race, and at this point impossible to call. Currently I really fancy Charlton to surprise everyone - Sunderland sound knackered, Barnsley (up until yesterday) looked wobbly, and we’ve got three tough games coming up that we probably need 7/9 points from, which just...
No need to be sorry, our standard new year slump has put paid to any realistic chances of getting into the top 2 really. Tbh after that run it's pretty unbelievable we're still as close to the autos as we are!
Do you fancy yourselves despite that, Caer? I'm curious to know the other teams' perspectives on how they think it's going to end up at the top.
We're the definite underdogs right now and I actually like that. Despite the playoffs being far more likely an outcome for us, 4 points is not a...
Pompey were outplayed in the first half, if any of those chances you had were finished you'd have had us on the ropes! It was great to see our clinical side return a bit tonight, generally a game like that should provide us with a much needed confidence boost, but we'll see. Good luck for that...
That was just utterly shocking. Half an hour of clinical finishing but all the while the midfield looks non existent and the defence shaky. I’m absolutely fuming, it’s a complete capitulation and a huge blow to any chance we have of getting back into the top 2.
