Worst town in the National League.

??? Aren't you from Hartlepool? I walked around it for a couple of hours when we played you in L2 & was struck by the same thing.

    Copulate off Salford

I suspect the primary aim is a tilt at the EPL rather than being a MUFC B team. A B team won't require an ascent up the Football League and would attract unwelcome attention from the football authorities and more unfavourable media attention than they would like. I guess the proof will be the...

Best away experience as a fan?

Like a lot of clubs if the away support is too small we won't open the away end due to the costs involved.

Best away experience as a fan?

It's from the Hive isn't it? I thought it's the stand that was there before they built that new bit of massive overkill. I don't recall Underhill's away end looking like that.

Best away experience as a fan?

TBH, I find the Centre Spot to be like something out of the 1950's. Not sure it made a significant positive contribution to the good reviews, except for the middle-aged beardy real-ale crowd. I'd imagine the fact the city is more pleasant and has more of a sense of well-being than a lot of the...

    Club size in order

Guess. Clue - the same team as 99.9% of Salford's dilettante support.

    Club size in order

Likewise with "mahoosive" Newcastle and Gateshead.

    Club size in order

Sadly it won't fail. Forget the previous failed dopers - this is something entirely new. Salford have potential resources that dwarf anything we've seen at this level. The combined wealth of Salford's owners would put them mid-table in a rich list of owners in the Premier League. If they falter...

    Copulate off Salford

Which just goes to show that they are prepared to take financial losses in order to advance "the project" - in this case trying to manufacture a replacement fanbase to disguise the absurdity they are pioneering and at the same time increase the fellatio the meeja are determined to perform on...

    Copulate off Salford

Fairly obvious isn't it? Using Salford as a Trojan Horse for a tilt at the riches of the Premier League before a super-league is formed. The bonanza after new broadcast platforms take off is predicted to dwarf even today's eye-watering sums. The stated aim was originally the Championship - but...

    Copulate off Salford

We really need to get rid of this idea/hope that Salford are going to go pop - especially due to a small fanbase. They are something we've never seen before at this level - Beckham alone has a similar fortune to Griggs and Ladak and Lim has vastly more. The combined fortune of Salford's owners...

    Copulate off Salford

I don't agree with Bournemouth's doping, but at least they were an established L1 club and had been built to that level for a long time by doing the hard yards. While they reinforce the EPL megamoney model that has killed the dream of even Championship football for many and fuelled a dangerous...

    Playing budgets next season?

Another excellent thread from the Accrington Chairman about the danger to us all. Someone should get this guy to chair a Commission on the future of English football outside the Premier League.

    Playing budgets next season?

It was Tomlinson, but that doesn't prove that overall we had a big budget. As I said before, the season we made our record signing in Stockley and paid him a relatively big wage our budget was eventually revealed to be 13th in the list.

    Playing budgets next season?

It can be "donations" as well I believe. Basically the whole thing is a farce designed to make It look as though action was being taken after relatively big clubs started suffering insolvency events.

    Copulate off Salford

Sadly, I'm pretty sure that everyone hoping Salford will drop like a stone, or that they'll plateau in L1, or that the billionaire/millionaires will get bored are in for a big disappointment. Money does buy success in the end, if you have enough of it and depending on what you define as...

    Copulate off Salford

They're an insult to all clubs who try and suceed on their own merits by skill, planning, patience, ingenuity etc. Accrington aren't fan-owned but I have huge respect for their owner and what they've achieved. If Salford suceed and encourage others they will kill clubs like ours.

    Playing budgets next season?

Holt is a Don. I'm a massive advocate of fan ownership but if Holt owned ECFC it would soften the blow.

    Copulate off Salford

Yes, but that was considered an outstanding and rare achievement, one which will become more and more unlikely as the money from the EPL ossifies football. The injection of megamoney from the opposite end by Salford and any other billionaire carpetbaggers they inspire in future will exacerbate...

    Copulate off Salford

Revenue sharing went even further - we woud all get exactly the same share of broadcast revenue as Manchester United for example. Lots of other regulations levelled the playing field as well - however the idea of solidarity and the belief that we all depend on each other is passé now. Greed Is...
