Our photographers that have been to away games have said the number of people at the Vale are neither more or less than they have seen at any other grounds. Smaller ground and not sat in main stands makes it look worse. Optics not ideal.
As you know so much about our club, I surprised you don’t know.
We only rec’d 2m from Tescos which was spent on Watford. Rec’d another £1m from the law suit against the lawyers who were involved in the fraud on the deal on selling the ground.
So, your statement that our board didn’t complete...
We have been massively open throughout the season and one of the reasons why Brennan left. We are also down to bare bones and less, so can’t really impose any style at the moment.
We don’t play the pressing game. We aren’t set up to do that nor have the players.
As for fans in, no difference to other clubs just smaller stadium so more obvious. Staff and like as has been said.
I doubt RLF will start tomorrow as he can’t do back to back to games. If you have noticed, he starts one game and then in the bench for the next.
It’s a shame fans aren’t in as County would be in for a huge shock. Tiny ground, fans close in, small changing rooms and the slope. A far cry from...
Whilst this appears to be a big risk, as neither have ever managed before - nor had Currie at Barnet when he took over, stepping up from No 2 - they have already made us tighter at the back, despite injuries ravaging the back four.
i suspect we will be a fitter and better organised side, but...
Brennan a shoe in from what I am hearing with another Irishman as his assistant.
if they get DB of 2019/20 then he will do well, if the 2020/21 vintage then he will be added to the long list of managers on Barnet’s didn’t last long list.
I thought Ivers in his many interviews has said relegation will not happen from step 1. What is likely is that Dover’s and the spare spot are up for grabs. That said, as the 18 keep diminishing, how many are actually going to be involved and depending on numbers, surely any competition, let’s...
I doubt the 18 will get four promotion places, nor should they, but essentially there will be two places available in the NL to cover Macclesfield and Dover.
I doubt KL will call it a day. The article in the Mail seems to suggest that clubs have been told , as long as they complete the season...
DB deserves huge praise for last season. The style of football was fantastic and as good as many of us can remember, but it was ill suited for the NL. He was asked at a pre season meet the manager event whether we could play the same way at the higher level and he was certain it could. We have...
Rumours are that he’s been sniffing around for a while. In hindsight he should have taken the job when it was offered, as we have been in footballing free fall ever since. We have at least attempted to shore up the defence since he’s left.
How does Brennan go down as the best manager is our history? In the modern era, Brian Hall (double winner), Allan Batsford (built the double side and only ill health stopped him taking that side further) and Gordon Bartlett (manager for over two decades and took us from RL div 3 to NLS) ahead of...
Furloughing your players is morally wrong, but I don’t think we have any other choice. If we had normal income streams this season, we could have held our heads above water. It was doable, but we can’t cope with no income for five months. Loans are not the answer.
Safeguarding the clubs future is paramount. Even the current loan funding was based on crowds being back on 1 April, so another two months funding required additionally. More loans.
