Brennan was definitely your first choice. For whatever reason the deal collapsed. Compensation may well be the reason. Don’t forget Brennan’s stock has increased since the start of the season due to our start and being done on a shoestring.
The Barnet lot seem rather tetchy at getting gubbed this weekend, despite having a wage bill double ours.
We, on other hand, beat Weymouth to move into fourth with our injury ravaged side. Weymouth were thankful to their 19 yo loanee from Southampton who had a blinder.
Injury ravaged Stones, no forwards and a totally makeshift defence, are held by a toothless Barnet side. Stones had the better chances and more of them. Barnet more possession. Had we had a forward on the pitch, we’d have been out of sight long before the end.
The charlatan club Barnet are charging Wealdstone commerical rates for the streaming of the game at the Vale. Shysters. Nothing like helping fellow clubs at the moment.
No away fans allowed if for our derby at Barnet, at a stadium which was built for us. 80 people in our clubhouse enjoying a substantial meal and a few drinks instead.
Barnet are only allowing their season ticket holders which seems to be around 600 or so.
We need to start winning again, though...
Torquay score a last minute winner to stay top of the table. They dominated the initial part of the first half with us struggling to get the ball clear. We got a foothold into the game and started taking the match to them as the half wore on and took the lead through poacher, Danny Parish.

We are hopelessly naive at times and there is an emphasis on Kevin Keegan football, attack at all times, with our full backs playing as wingers. When it works, it great to watch but we will get drubbings as well. We knew we would have runs of games when we would lose and heavily too. Torquay...
Wealdstone’s COVID capacity is around 870. We tried to get the game v Torquay pushed back a day to get fans in, but they refused. With Barnet unlikely or unable to let away fans in, first game back in looks like Weymouth.
We were utterly terrible in the first. No attacking play, defensively a shambles, Sutton should have been five or six up. Second half we played like we know we can, went 3-2 up only to concede in the 95th minute of four added minutes. We were excellent in the second period.
Would have taken a...
The proverbial game of two halves. Stones the better side in the first, keeping the ball and playing nice football, had a goal disallowed for offside which seemed dubious. Second half Eastleigh totally up their game, pressed us all over the park and deservedly won. We knew our next four games...
We have Dover next and then a run of Eastleigh, Sutton, Notts County and Torquay. We could easily lose all four of them and we will have a better idea about ourselves after those. Then Barnet.
Last two matches we have been so far away from how we have played this season, yet won both games and kept clean sheets. Free scoring football is out of the window and clean sheets are in!
Our worst performance of the season, yet second for the first time since 1985.
Stones were well off the pace for the first 25 minutes with Alty looking the better side but not anywhere near clinical enough. Stones then had a good spell with a couple of decent chances before the break.
Second half saw Alty again the better side until we brought on Ross Lafayette and...
Dulwich have been underperforming for a couple of years now. Big budgets and struggling . As for not being compensated, don’t have so many players that are “full time.”
