What a dreadful, soulless football club Doncaster Rovers have become. Belle Vue was such a superb, classic and vibrant stadium with a passionate fan base. Now the club exists in a silent, boring, bowl of a stadium in the middle of an industrial estate miles away from anywhere. to make matters...
It's interesting to see comments from other County users on this board as to whom they would start.
For me, it's got to be:
GK Ben Hinchliffe
RWB Macauley Southam-Hales
RCB Joe Lewis
CB Fraser Horsfall
LCB Ryan Johnson
LWB Ryan Rydel
CM Callum Camps
CM Will Collar
ACM Antoni Sarcevic
STK Paddy...
Young Premier League players are always a risk. Sometimes they pay off, other times they don't.
We signed Man Utd U23 captain (Will Fish) last summer on loan for the season.....got terrorised by Paul McCallum and was barely seen again.....
Arjan Raikhy was another one. Aston Villa Youth Cup...
Devante Rodney was dynamite for Halifax but hasn't really done it anywhere else.
As others have said, he's strong and lightening quick but just lacks a bit of nous.
I'd be surprised and a bit upset is Palmer tarnished his reputation by going to Crewe! :cool1:
All seriousness though, Ash has been colossal for us the past few years and is a steady and solid CB. Untested in the EFL, but should be more than capable of making the step up.
He's not the most...
I think the slight frustration with Quigley is that his first touch isn't great made worse by him trying to wrestle the defender rather than concentrate on bringing the ball down.
When the ball is played into his feet either facing up a defender or back to goal, he's very effective and is good...
The signing of Tshimanga is huge for Chesterfield. They certainly are 'Going For It' this season before the FFP rules come in.
I don't quite understand where the money has come from (except the Government Furlough Scheme of course) and whether it really is sh*t or bust this season. A three-year...
Sad news out of EP today is that James Jennings has had to announce his retirement from football due to injury.
He underwent a knee operation during the summer and following that has been advised to retire from the game.
I don't know anyone who has ever had a bad word to say about James. Over...
I am getting a football fix in tonight and heading up to the DW to watch Wigan take on Preston. Looking forward to it. Not been to the DW since 2011 when I went to watch Wigan vs Blackburn which was a super entertaining game which ended 4-3!
Top lad is Warby and a class player if you can get him firing. Most effective as a number 10 picking the ball up in the pockets between the defence and midfield.
There's a montage of some of his goals for us (put together by NTFC when he signed for them) Admitedly this was against NLN...
If he can carry on his form from last season then that's an unreal signing for Wrexham. Jake Hyde and Paul Mullin should be a good strike partnership in this league next season.
Maybe even more potent than Madden & Quigley!
