I mean your comparing Chatteris which is closer to Peterborough than Cambridge to something that's albeit near Stoke yet still not Stoke, so not really sure that's a fair comparison.
Most desirable places in the county are Cambridge itself, Ely, and the towns/villages towards the south or west...
Even with May due to return we definitely can't mess about now Cousins is injured. Mcgrandles or someone similar is a must before the window closes, otherwise we risk the same problem as last season.
Worse news though is Janneh's injury after a good start. Need to find a replacement for him now...
I'm a bit confused and concerned about why fans of such a prestigious club like Port Vale seem obsessed with tiny minnows like Cambridge. I guess we should feel blessed to have your interest.
Was a fiery game and lost Janneh in the first few minutes of the game, massive blow as he's been a huge part in our initial start and has been a revelation for us to be honest.
Conceded a soft goal, and once your behind against a Steve Evans side it gets very hard to come back. Managed to do...
You had a meltdown and posted the most condescending and dismissive drivel because some guy on the internet suggested you were a similar size to Cambridge. So yes it's clear you have a massive ego.
Sorry do you want me to soothe your ego?
Of course you're a massive club, you have the best keeper in the world, have had the biggest scoreline this season (7-0!!!), and most importantly the most fans on the league 1 football forum. Wowwww! Absolutely huge. Us minnows shake from fright when in...
Some classic willy waving on this thread, wow.
I'd say in terms of club size it's a fairly even league. You got the big clubs like Bolton, Barnsley, Pompey, Derby, Charlton and Blackpool etc. The rest after that are mainly all fairly similar size. Each fan base will obviously scream and shout...
I don't want to be pedantic, and Bonner certainly does have an eye for players who haven't reached their potential and then getting the best out of them. However out of those players only Iredale was deemed not good enough for the EFL before he joined, remember Carlisle fans being very...
2 games in and have 2 wins with 2 clean sheets, can't ask for more really. Janneh was the disappointment for me last season but he may well be the surprise of league 1 this season if he continues the way he's begun.
Can't get ahead of ourselves because last season we started fairly well, but 3...
It was only 6 and 4 for us today, though the 6 was probably more like 7. There wasn't really many stoppages or that much obvious time wasting so that probably helped.
Pretty standard 2-0 win tbh. Oxford weren't particularly bad either, it just never seemed that likely it would go their way.
If our players have a bit more luck with fitness this season then we should be a bit more comfortable than last season. When everyone is fit its not a bad team at all.
Seems to be a shortage of anyone even half decent in that position.
I suppose when there's Championship and now League 2 clubs spending seemingly irresponsible amounts of money it's going to be increasingly tough for clubs like ours who budget more wisely.
If any team deserves to be relegated this season, it's Reading surely? The whole on and off saga with HMRC whilst signing players is a total joke.
Sorry for the fans but the people running the club deserve the luck they are getting.
There has been 30 predictions on here, the clubs with most predictions to be relegated so far are:
Cheltenham with 22
Carlisle with 18
Cambridge with 16
Northampton with 13
Exeter with 10
Stevenage with 9
Burton and Fleetwood with 6
Port Vale and Reading with 5
Shrewsbury with 4
Orient and...
Kachunga played 91 games in the last 2 seasons for a team that was chasing playoffs/promotion in League 1. That doesn't tend to happen for very poor players, and even if he has been deemed not good enough for a promotion pushing side that shouldn't matter for lower league 1 side.
From what...
