I've been thinking of positives. This is my list.
1. We might actually shoot when we get in the box.
2. Saunders doesn't come across as the short corners kind of guy.
3. He's Welsh, so the potential for abuse when it all goes tits up is limitless.
I always assumed that half of it was due to Blackpool being there.
I know that if Mansfield had been in the two divisions above us for numerous years, then came down to our level in a meltdown whilst we were in the playoff final, i'd be DESPERATE to readdress the balance.
I was just having fun with it after some banter was formed on our playoff thread.
You can't have crushed dreams if you're the underdog, you have fantasies, enjoy it, then shake it off for the next season.
Crushed dreams would be for a bigger club to fail in 9 playoffs in a row, and not have...
Swindon to win 3-0, Obika scoring the 3rd from the half way line.
Swindon fans to enter the pitch, dismembering Garner, and parading his head on a pole.
Swindon to get promoted, let off with a slap on the wrist and a large fine.
I do find it interesting which clubs are like, 'unlucky lads, you play great football and you've been screwed', and which are loving it, as if they couldn't wait for little Chesterfield to get some shit. League One is a mind fuck of complex relationships.
We can't actually win.
If we go down, then we go down.
If we stay up, then the board will say that it was a shrewd move.
I'm just hoping that the shoe fits, and in a few months time we're going, 'shit, can you remember when everyone said that Saunders would take us down? How hilarious was that!'.
Wigan, Blackpool, Millwall, Coventry, Fleetwood, Vale, Gillingham - Out of the teams guaranteed anyway.
Also not been to Swindon, Preston, Stevenage, Southend or Wycombe.
It'll be a high scoring game with Swindon winning in extra time.
They cruised past us because we can't finish. Now Swindon aren't the best in defence, but they can score.
Hence as soon as Swindon get a goal at a key moment, Preston will bottle. In my opinion of course.
Have fun guys.
I was so fucked off today speaking to my Chesterfield supporting mate that I even started a 'Jack Lester to return rumour'. But people are so angry with the board that it hasn't took off. I can't even troll properly today.
Its probably best for me to just copy and paste my most recent facebook status.
Listening to Dave Allen, and apparently our support isn't good enough.. So an average of 7,000 at home and 1,000 away isn't good enough? Not good enough for a club who have sold every asset for peanuts at the first...
I think the surprise was that it was all done and dusted before the playoffs, and it was to a league two club and not a 'bigger club' (If we're talking level of football).
Twitter talk is just swirling round 3 names now -
Smith
Redfearn
Hill
Redfearn and Hill would be great, and Smith is...
I go on rollercoasters. Just at decent places.
Surely you'd be the first to say that a day at a 'theme park' in Blackpool is grim as fuck.
Can't imagine what kind of character you'd have to have to actually be seen working at one.
