2-0 and done. On another day we'd be plenty up as our efforts have actually been on target today but we just never get anything here. Got to take the positives in our performance and our work rate.
We've been the better side marginally but both sides have had chances. Ours were more clearcut and we'll be more disappointed not to be ahead. Crewe look pacey on the attack while our progressive possession has been better. Our second halves have been much, much better recently but those missed...
Great win for us. Colchester looked dangerous but we defended excellently. Our play in possession is sometimes awesome to watch but you can tell we are still very much in transition. In a few months time, if things go smoothly, we should batter some teams. Glad Thomas got another goal after a...
Yep I don't understand why we keep doing it. He's relished playing against us for years knowing that he's a villain to us and he almost always plays well because of it. I can understand giving him grief for a couple of games after whatever incident happens but this has gone on for years. It's...
Would really like us to win this one but a draw wouldn't be terrible. Our defence has improved and we're getting into really good scoring positions but our finishing simply has to improve. I really rated Thomas in his first few games as someone with a good touch and loses his defender well but...
Good point for us, happy to keep the clean sheet. Both teams had chances but lacked the quality at the end. Exeter had the better of them, especially with the penalty miss. I think they edged it over the 90 but a draw is probably right.
We're taking the absolute piss out of Exeter so far. Not unusual for us, just depends on whether we get the goals to cushion our potential collapse. Encouraging so far though.
Good 90 minute performance from us which is extremely rare nowadays. Some excellent attacking play should've seen us score a couple more. Still got lots to improve on and of course need to find consistency but that was a good glimpse of things to hopefully come.
We throw a wobbler every single second half without fail, it's just whether you take the chances that we gift wrap for you in that time. There's still goals in this for you lot.
Vale look a lot better in possession without looking too dangerous while we look very messy in possession but could've had few more goals. That was our good half though so it's far from over.
We've named the same line-up as Tuesday and it might actually be the first time we've kept an unchanged side this season. Hopefully Vernam and Embleton can keep causing problems. Hooper starts against his former club to show them what they're missing and sadly what we're enduring. Good time for...
The win on Tuesday was huge and the first half was as good as we've seen all season, going forward at least. We're still very suspect at the back but having two actual full-backs on the pitch for the first time this season helped us keep a little bit of shape. Seeing as Vernam played 90 minutes...
Massive 3 points, can't understate just how important that win is for everyone at the club. It looked like a typical second half from us, backs to the wall with absolute fuck all going forward, but luckily Carlisle were exactly as described on here, utterly toothless up front. First half was...
4 attacking players starting, 3 if you don't count JJ Hooper. Not the line-up I would have gone for but it's not far off. If we can somehow go in 3 up at half time then maybe the second half collapse won't matter.
While that should give us optimism, we currently only have 2 centre backs available and one of them is Danny Collins who has seemingly woken up one day in the summer and forgotten what he does for a living. You won't need to go through much effort at all to score a few.
I think we'll up our performance and make you sweat a bit but after our inevitable collapse at the back seeing you bag 2 or 3 in a short space of time, it'll end up your easiest win of the season.
Jolley has to go for it tonight. No defensive line up just because we're away, no trying to...
On reflection I think most of my anger stemmed from just how pathetically bad Danny Collins has become. He's generally been reliable since he came under Hurst but I have already lost count on how many times he's been skinned and made crucial mistakes this season. He has single handedly lost us...
