Grimsby have signed 6' 4", 20 year-old Spanish striker Alhagi Touray Sisay on an initial one year deal with the option for a second. Finished last season at Aberystwyth in the Welsh Premier, scoring 4 in 6. Was close to joining Hull last year. Feels like a bit of a punt this one.
How is it stupid? A points deduction in line with an agreed framework doesn't necessarily mean that club will get relegated. Imposing a £20k fine, however, will definitely mean that club (which has no fackin' money) has to pay a £20k fine.
Could well be talking absolute bollox but I think the guaranteed allocations are different for each competition. Think League Cup is 10% of ground capacity and FA Cup is 15%.
Grimsby fan. Born in Chatham, moved to Immingham aged 1. Moved to Lincoln when I was 19. Been here 13 years. Get to a handful of games a season as it's just too expensive to be honest.
Dislike MK Dons, plastics, the Tories and unfounded preseason optimism.

Interesting developments. From what we can tell it doesn't sound like he necessarily has oodles of cash to throw at it, nor whether he intends to, but potentially brings with him contacts...
If Cook isn't fit then I can see Woolford starting in an advanced position as he did earlier in his career a bit. Either way, can't see us scoring today, even if it is Notts' defence.
I think Notts will only have to score a single goal to win as we have very little up front with Thomas and Dennis gone. I'm sad to say that I can't see you winning twice to stay up. Funny old game though, innit ducks.
As unlikely as it is, Bet365 have us at 50/1 to make the top 7, which I would say is at least 10 too long. Worth £0.25 of anyone's money. 7 points from our next 3 games would make things interesting. We will, of course, end up with a maximum of 4 and a 12th placed finish will be nailed on.
Davis should be back.
Cunnimg ploy to keep Town fans out of the home ends by selling out. Pah! Think I'm in the third different home stand for a Lincoln v Town game.
They also have Wickham and some guy called Sorloth, who Palace fans appear less than impressed with, who may play upfront.
I've read on our OS that no tickets will be available to Town fans on the day. What a load of shit! Now I'm sure 99% of those likely to go will have their tickets already...
Hamilton should have scored too. Thomas is about 15 yards out with only the keeper to beat and no defender near him- 'should' score. Decent start by us to the second half. Our only defensive player playing in their natural position has been subbed for a winger. Couldn't make it up!
Thomas should have equalised for us but seemed to slip when 1-on-1. Obviously the rest of the half would have been different if he had. 0-1 about right.
