Just a further (and possible final) update on our situation. We face a winding up petition by HMRC tomorrow (16/10) which will likely see the club finally wound up. The only possible exception would be a further delay as it is rumoured that Dale will play his illness card.
The 7 million covers the CVA, football creditors and the 1.5 million to cover losses for the season. In no way is the 7 million to actually reapy the other stuff or sort the team out. The company is worth over 500 million ffs. The fact the EFL didn't give it a chance is a joke.
The bid was put in last week. The EFL ignored it and concentrated on their mate Alastair Campbells son. It was only a message as to why their bid was no longer being considered on Tuesday that they realised the EFL thought that the bid had been withdrawn. It never had. The EFL backed the wrong...
It appears that this bid wasn't ever given a chance by the EFL. I was in the pub tonight and tried to watch the Lincoln game on the tele. I left before kick off. Thanks for all the messages of support, the truth is it could happen to any one of you. Could the EFL have done more to save us? Of...
SSN now saying good news as there are 3 fresh offers on the table? Do we have any time to get it through? Should we get any more time? Do I want any more time? I really don't know. I was well in to the grieving process and now hopes have been raised, and likely dashed again.
Those in the know are saying not to worry. In honesty I'm fucking shitting myself. Let's hope that by 5pm today there is an announcement that the takeover is completed and Sat's game is on.
I think the covenant on the ground that the land can only be used for football is more valuable than the community asset. As you rightly say it only gives us the opportunity to match a bid, something we are unlikely to be able to do. Worryingly there are rumours that the covenant expired in the...
Don't listen to the guy saying its making him ill either. Or that he has cancer. He has just returned from a 3 week holiday ffs. I've never seen him looking more radiant than he did on that SSN interview with his glowing cheeks, he almost seemed to be having to hold back a big grin.
Well done...
A theory is that he is linked with Day and his end game is to liquidate the club in order to hide the dodgy (illegal?) business transactions carried out in the past. I stress that it is only a guess but the longer he goes on refusing to sell it really makes you wonder.
The latter I'd suggest. But then again when the club is about to get kicked out of the league perhaps the staff member felt there was nothing left to lose.
We can confirm that today we have received an offer for the sale of Bury Football Club, one that we all at the Club believe is a very good offer.
This offer has been conveyed to Steve Dale and we are still waiting to hear from him.
This offer is the only lifeline for the future of the Club and...
To the best of my knowledge this is correct - please let me know if I have mis-stated anything.
Demise of Bury Football Club
Following the close shave in 1999, Bury FC was run on a tight leash – each year the club would make a profit or loss of about £250,000 and things were kept in balance...
Teams like Accrington have now lost a huge proportion of their income for the season, if Bolton were to go bust as well that would be 2 of their 3 biggest crowds wiped out of the money they have already committed to. I hope that our problems will not have any lasting effect on any other teams.
