God help you then! Can our recent revival continue against Bromley tomorrow and then at Aldershot on Saturday, will be happy if we can get a result at either of these games, but if we do it is certain our caretaker manager will be here for the season.
A must win for us today if we are to have any hope of staying up. A good display against Salford followed by more defensive errors v Barnet in the cup last week shows even under our new "caretaker" manager we are lacking any sort of consistency. A bore draw is my prediction.
Are there any Salford fans on here or are they to ashamed to post. About half a dozen of their so called fans attacked our supporters as they began boarding the coach after yesterdays game, punching kicking and swearing and not a steward in sight. Fortunately no serious injuries except for a few...
Our manager Brad Quinton resigned after our game with Eastleigh today. Although we are bottom of the league he has done well with very limited resources and I cant for the life of me think who would want the job.
Probably our worst performance this season but somehow we managed to score in injury time to level things. Brad (our manager) kept them on the pitch for 5mins at half time reading the riot act. We were better 2nd half but Hartlepool should have been out of sight by then. Our new keeper Ben...
Beat a strong Ipswich side 2-0 and could easily have been more. Ipswich were poor today and play like that in the Championship then they are in for a really tough season.
Our captain from last seasom Mark Okoye has signed for Bromley. Rumour has it for near 1k per week plus a healthy signing on fee. He will be sorely missed.
Three potential moneyspinners for us:
1) Colchester Tues 10th July 7:45pm
2) Ipswich Sat 14th July 3:0pm
3) Local rivals Chelmsford Sat 28th July 3:0pm
I understand both Colchester and Ipswich sending strong sides to Cressing Rd and Chelmsford always bring a good few as well..
May suprise you all to know we have had only one postponed match in the last 2 seasons after we spent 40k on new drainage in 2016. Agreed we HAD a reputation in the past for postponements, but happily those days are gone so comments now about our pitch are really only for those who haven't...
Complete sell out for our play off final at Hampton. They have done a good job in putting on an outside bar and more food outlets for all the fans. Looking forward to the game and hopefully a quick return to the National league although it will have been the hard way with all our games away from...
Well what do you know? my earlier post in reply to the The Terminator is getting plenty of response and we are still to beat Hampton before we are back. Our manager Brad Quinton is already a Braintree legend and if we get back up he will be the 3rd great manager we have been fortunate to have in...
Fanbloodytastic performance from us today. Even after the extra time and penalties from Wednesday, far from being knackered the boys produced the best all over the pitch today and if we play like that next Sunday v Hampton we will be back in the National after just one season down here. The...
