Goalkeeper Jamie Butler has had his contract terminated by mutual consent. We paid Hemel a fee for him but he wasn,t up to the standard required for this league. We have replaced him with Sam Beasant from Cambridge Utd.
Best part of yesterdays game with Guiseley was the friendly banter between both sets of fans standing together sheltering from the rain. No animosity or bad feeling about last years debacle (you all know what Im talking about) and as for the footie it was as piss poor as the weather.
Much much better performance from us all over the pitch today. Chez Isaac and Jake Goodman started today and our midfield was much stronger as a result. Aldershot sprayed the ball around well from time to time but without a lot of impact and threat to our goal. Rendell looked a shade of his...
I believe a great deal of our success last season was down to the Cowleys inheriting a strong squad left over from Alan Devonshires 4 years.
True they brought in Alex Woodyard and Taylor Miles, but it was their methods with what they inherited and the team spirit we had that led to our...
Think you should change your moniker to wishful thinking. For all the money being put into your team if that is typical of how you play forget challenging for the title. We have a brand new squad and matched you all over the pitch.
Absolutely no idea what our line up will be, as only 3 of our squad of 17 remain from last year. Certain to play are Chez Isaacs, Simeon Akinola, Michael Cheek, Lee Barnard and new keeper Jamie Butler. What formation we will use wont know till we line up Saturday.
Ooops: Forgot our new Captain...
Read my earlier post re extensive drainage work carried out during the close season. The league insisted we did this due to our pitch problems in the past, however work was behind schedule due to the contractors being unable to start 3-4 weeks later than planned.
Our pitch has had extensive drainage work done on it close season and is still not ready to stage a match.
Had to cancel our friendly with Southend yesterday and played local club Stanway Rovers at their ground. Won 3-1 but with only 3 players left from last seasons squad its difficult to judge...
Makes a refreshing change to have someone with principles in football. Knows the league and will surely have the necessary contacts to strengthen our squad for next season. Not expecting miracles as to improve on last season will be nigh on impossible.
Our captain Kenny Davis has left to sign for Borehamwood. Can you believe it! Could understand it if he had followed Danny to Lincoln, but f*****g Borehamwood. GUTTED.
At the Club last night when Danny & Nicky resigned (stepped down) I have it on good authority they have been given a 2yr contract at 135K per year between them plus the rental on a 4 bedrom house for when family come up to visit. Looks to me that Lincoln are putting a lot of eggs in one basket...
No one on here giving us credit for another professional performance from a part time TEAM that give their all each and every time we play.
You all need to get over the BELT hang ups and realise anyone can buy a side, but it takes an exceptional manager to build a TEAM and fortunately for us...
