It's been a weird old season. In the land of ifs and maybes if we beat Burton and Coventry last week we could have went top on Friday. Instead though we are 3rd and needing to beat teams in the top 6, something we haven't done all season to stand a chance of going up.
Burton do play some good stuff it has to be said, hope they continue like that for their home game against Portsmouth next week.
Finally back in 2nd, hopefully we'll make more work of keeping this position than earlier in the season.
Yeah we should sell out easily especially with the possibility of something to play for.
It's been an expensive last 7 days with 3 away games and one of those being a Wembley weekend.
Glad we have Burton at home rather than away tomorrow.
Our next few games are daunting ones but a good result tomorrow puts us in more control than I thought we'd have at this stage:
Burton (h)
Coventry (h)
Doncaster (h)
Peterborough (a)
Portsmouth (h)
Nah we didn't sell out, next to where we were there was about half a block empty and presumably a few scattered about the place. The allocation was 3,814.
Been a couple of times, basically a pub every couple of doors down and a friendly atmosphere. Remember ending up somewhere last time I went which looked like someones front room with a few kegs of ale and a few tables.
Yeah there were still tickets available last night which weren't sold and I think we failed to sell out a game earlier, Barnsley rings a bell. As well as bringing less to Port Vale for the FA Cup than we brought to Morecambe in the Checkatrade Trophy. Betting company twitter accounts have...
1,608 Sunderland at Accrington last night
Around 400 left for Rochdale on Saturday, after yesterday's result might sell-out. Also been given 4,069 tickets for Peterborough which I assume is behind the goal and (part of) the side?
Now that's out of the way it's make or break time in the promotion push.
Accrington away tomorrow and Rochdale away on Saturday. With Barnsley not taking full advantage of our time away from the league it would be really nice to get 6 points from those games but there's now the danger of a...
It's hard to tell with us because we don't lose games but we will very happily draw them. Suppose one of our bonuses for the run-in is our squad depth is fairly good for this level so on paper at least we stand a good chance in April despite the busy schedule.
As far as I'm concerned Luton are...
It may have taken us 4 attempts this season but we've finally beaten Walsall, albeit in not very convicing fashion but with results above us it puts things back in our not very safe hands for automatic promotion.
We don't play again in the league until 3rd April but that coincides with 8 of our...
Not heard anything, it would be a bit weird given you could probably sell near double that which the club would welcome the added revenue. Also given it's our only game this season with a bit of spice to it I imagine it'll be part of Methven's marketing to try and get as many people in the...
Rochdale looking to give us a larger than normal allocation: https://www.rochdaleafc.co.uk/news/2019/march/sunderlandmatch_importantinformation_140319/
With it being a week after Wembley and 3 days after Accrington away it might be wishful thinking on their part, it'll certainly get to general...
4,445 the final figure.
Not got an away game for a couple of weeks then we have 3 in 7 days:
Wembley
Accrington
Rochdale
Slight juxtaposition in amongst that.
