Yeah the officials were poor, case in point Max Power's red card has been rescinded. Hopefully he makes me look like a prick further by having a great game tonight.
We started the best I've seen us this season, putting Walsall under pressure from the off. Then once again Max Power gives the ref a decision to make for a silly tackle on the halfway line and gets his third red in 6 games, I'd happily send him back to Wigan but I hear we have an obligation to...
Think you're right. Guessing it'll be more 3,000 than 3,600, went off our fan liaison mentioning 700 tickets twice but the club are tweeting 3k this morning.
McGeouch was really good in pre-season then got a knock and has been slow to get back up to that form. Ross rates McGeouch so he'll continue to get games but he plays the same role as Cattermole who has been miles better than him this season so it's often awkward fitting them both into the same...
Walsall part 1 on Saturday has apparently sold out now, the club hasn't announced much about it. I think judging from our initial allocation of 2,221 and 2 lots of 700 extra tickets we'll have about 3,600 there.
I doubt we'll shift half of that for the cup game in a couple of weeks.
We were poor yesterday but Wycombe worked harder than us and showed why they continue to get results against teams at the top of the table. They would have been worth the 3 points if not for a touch of class from McGeady and giving Maja that much space.
Our winning run ends but we continue to...
Thankfully we can't draw Newcastle U21s in the next round as we both topped our groups.
Could draw Walsall for what would be our 3rd game in 10 days in 3 seperate competitions, so that'd be something to put in your calendar.
Jordan Pickford - Everton
John Egan - Sheffield United
Peter Hartley - Motherwell
Thomas Beadling - Dunfermline Athletic
Michael Liddle - Blyth Spartans
Jordan Henderson - Liverpool
Grant Leadbitter - Middlesbrough
Conor Hourihane - Aston Villa
Jack Colback - Nottingham Forest
Martyn Waghorn...
God only knows. We're a weird bunch.
I'd expect a massive drop in away attendance for the Walsall league game and the Walsall cup game a week later but the reasoning behind that is fairly obvious, why we brought so few to Port Vale will remain a mystery.
Speaking of Walsall another lucrative...
My dad tells me about this one all the time, how our fans invaded the pitch thinking we'd been promoted only for a very late Stoke goal to keep us in the division. He reckons around 10,000 Sunderland that day but he's not the most reliable source for away figures, sure the figure of our...
We've only sold around 1,400 tickets for Sunday which is a bit of a shame considering we were given around 4,000 tickets. It's not as if we can blame TV scheduling either as we brought 5,000 to Coventry under similar circumstances, it may be nice to have a bit of space in an away end I suppose...
With Newcastle doing poorly/Ashley disgruntlement still at its peak I imagine the attendances at Shields will stay up for a little while yet, although if they fail to go up this season and the momentum goes I wonder how that'll effect things.
Either way they've got Scarborough away on Boxing...
A figure from my Twitter feed that cropped up for the Northern Premier Division. South Shields FC reckon they had 500 away fans of a total 776 at Whitby Town on Saturday.
Thought Plymouth played much better than their league position would suggest, they play some neat stuff and their main striker was a real handful. If not for McLaughlin's goalkeeping it could have been an entirely different story.
I was slating McGeady for all of the first half for not...
Yeah exactly, at a guess I'd say our away average has near doubled from last season and probably our seasons in the premier league taking the lowest allocations. Goes to show no matter the division if you're winning, you're winning and hopefully that continues for a while.
The owner wants to...
The extra 230 for Plymouth haven't sold out and are unlikely to but still should be around 1,300 making the trip.
2,374 for Accrington also sold out on our end for the start of December. With the Northern Rail strike that one is going to be an adventure to get to. And finally we've been given...
An extra 230 tickets for the Plymouth game have gone on sale today, bit short notice considering the distance, but should they all sell would take us near enough the 1,500 mark for tickets sold. Looking forward to it nevertheless, getting the night train which is exciting - it'll be like going...
