Thought you actually played some good stuff and moved forward with purpose. You didn't really manage to score though and looked shaky at the back. As the season settles, the goals will come. Worryingly, that's 2 clangers in 2 games our goalie has made but he is a good goalie and should be able...
A few years ago, we could beat the likes of Arsenal, Villa and Chelsea. Now we can't beat Newcastle juniors in a game that is likely to decide who finishes bottom of the group.
We've beaten the bottom of the league, drawn with a team that would have been bottom had we beaten them so to play top of the league is quite a step up. We must start as underdogs.
We made 5 changes but the ones to come in are all squad players so are expected to come up to the mark. We should have won but didn't do enough to do so. Draw the right result and the quality of penalties very good. Early days for both teams, plenty of time to improve.
To do that SOC, we'd have to be a well run club. The last few years would suggest we are not. Budget wise apparently we do well and we do have some very good players for this level. Don't suppose having to pay off so many managers has helped nor giving good contracts to £7 year olds.
