Carlisle sacking their manager before our game against them on Saturday, therefore preventing the Grimsby Reaper his prize of a sacking after being beaten by us. So unfair!
OK, we were shit in Barrow.
However I hope we bounce back with two wins this week; so Grimsby Town Football Club to beat both Gillingham and Bromley: JOKER on both please mate.
Grimsby Town Football Club to beat those rough rouges from Chesterfield in Cleethorpes on Saturday 18th January, Year of Our Lord 2025. JOKER please mate.
It's true, the soft clear blue waters of the Humber Estuary help to keep the ambient temp well above the norm. We have dolphins, leatherback turtles and bird of paradise flying overhead. Love Island is filmed on one of the old defensive forts just off Cleethorpes pier.
You never know what Grimsby will do, one week we are almost brilliant, the next game dog shit.
It really is peaks and troughs rather than highs and lows.
Unrecognisable from week to week and when it's poor it's very poor. I'm sure other teams are inconsistent but we've taken it to extremes...
Grimsby Town Football Club to beat Nottinghamshire County Football Club in Cleethorpes (weather permitting) on Saturday the 11th day of January 2025. No Joker this week!
Rainy days and Sundays always get me down.
Another 'no show' at home against a top 6 side (playing poorly apparently by all Vale fans on here) will send 'The Fishy' into another melt down.
Only Walsall have won more games than us though, so we must be doing something right.
I'd take a second...
Apparently there is a sickness bug within the club (used as the excuse why we were sh1t at Swindon, and boy were we sh1t). If that has cleared up I expect a home win against Harrogate this time, something we've struggled to do since 'for ever'! We also seem to struggle when we have a big home...
I hope everyone has a Happy Festive break.
My prediction for Grimsby Town Football Club over the period is two wins (at home to Harrogate and Vale) both with a 'JOKER' please.
I think a lot of Swindon fans are demonstrating and then boycotting the game, the rest are wearing Orange for some reason. So there might not be a huge home crowd, just 650 plus Mariners being loud and proud!
Numbers building nicely for our trip to Swindon on the 21st, over 400 sold so far (my 3 are in the post). Might grow again if we get a result and play well against Crewe this Saturday.
Our home form can't possibly get any worse could it? Stanley will hope it can. Our midfield injury crisis appears to be over, so who Artell picks will be interesting.
