It's more about potential to challenge, Liverpool aren't a top club at the moment but are feasibly one of the few which could challenge again. However, I think they've been very conservative with their stadium and can't see much changing for them under this ownership.
Awful game between two terrible sides. Martial's goal was pure fluke, it bounced of his shins but the usual pro-Manc media are making out as a great goal.
English football is at an all time low if Manchester United are considered a 2nd pot. Shit fo
I'd fancy Corbyn to give a boost to Labour ratings, maybe temporarily, but this idea that the narrative has to be centre-right and Labour just need to talk about public services is bollocks. The past is the past and things have changed, there is certainly a groundswell of opinion very...
Has he left? He was always a pretty sound poster to be honest, but his politics seem to have shifted rightwards as he seems to make excuses for UKIP's xenophobia now and his staunch support of Unionism has always been quite revolting. Shame if he's gone though.
Who cares how 'big' one club is, can tell this site is inhabited glory supporters.
Good bit of business by Manchester United though, will get a sizeable fee if he leaves and potentially will keep him for a long time, Real Madrid dropped a ball with their incompetence.
We are obviously of very different opinions, nothing you say will change my opinion and nothing I say will change yours. I can't understand how a grown adult man can look to support the Royal Family and think they deserve the status they have (and yes they do own land, they own British land...
So basically you're argument, is 'that's just the way it is and if you think otherwise you're a commie'...fucking hell, are you an American?
Absolute rubbish, the economic argument is wrong, you must have such a low opinion of the UK if you think tourists would suddenly stay away if the Queen...
How is it? A true democracy should have elected representatives at all levels. Now I know even within that there are problems, especially class and certain kind of background which gets you further, but that is a separate issue. How you can raise a child and say we are all equal at birthn in...
The tourism point is negligible, people will still come irrespective of whether some old bat is sat in her kecks somewhere behind the walls. I
f you want to call yourself a true democracy you simply cannot have a family (let's not forget all the blue bloods we put up with too) that is placed on...
Yes, because that is what you have to elect. We don't need a symbolic representative. We can do it just fine with elected bodies of power, the Prime Minister is the effective ruler as it is, subject to the people. It has no role in a democratic society.
Not surprised you love the Queen though...
Yes. Absolutely, you can't be a democratic society when one family is put above all others based on birth. Get rid and join our peers in the modern world.
My two pennies on the debate:
Rooney suffers because of the hope, the hope what he was going to be, he was the most exciting English prospect in a lifetime and deservedly so, those first few seasons, littered with temperament problems and inconsistency, were fantastic to watch. A fearless young...
