Tougher month that it looks. Banana skins everywhere.
Port Vale (H) - Draw. This could go either way. They are much improved and after our 2 no-shows last season, I'm not taking anything for granted here. Artell needs to ensure he just lets the players play and gets them properly fired up. No...
We'll be free on FA Cup 2nd round day if you fancy trying again then? Bullet dodged, we're usually shite on wet pitches and in the rain. Rest up, get Powell back fit and get ready for the Vale. Finished October unbeaten, I'll take it.
Ha, this should be a short one:
Olly Lancashire - Has come as advertised by Swindon fans. A very shaky and mistake prone defender, been injured a bunch to boot, which isn't great either. Really not sure what Artell saw in this guy, all we needed was a solid option to complement Eddie Nolan and...
Anyway, the actual game.
Another very difficult game. We struggle against the good defensive sides like most of the rest of the division. We've played 3 of the top 4 tightest defences so far(Newport, Colchester and Cheltenham) and scored 1 goal.
I'd take a point to be honest, would get us out...
Given the lino at that point should have been watching the line for offsides, how he supposedly spotted a push by Hunt and then a punch out by Robinson from 40 yards away is next level impressive. Even if the lino is convinced by what he saw, I don't know how a ref in good conscience can give...
Ah good, a Crewe v Vale debate, that hasn't been done in a while.
Happy with a point from last night. Frustrating that we don't get to see the penalty incident because the camera is pointing in the other direction. Got to say, damn sharp eyes from the lino who spotted not only Hunt's initial...
Did you not see the bit he bolded?
You stated Bradford are the best team in the league. Despite the fact we are 2 points ahead of them, are top and have already beaten them this season. Ok, after tonight it could be them on top, but stating they are the best team does feel a little odd.
Colchester at home, dangerous. They've lost back to back games, but beating Swindon 3-0 at the County Ground a few weeks ago puts me on edge.
I'd like to think we can win, but another game unbeaten will do me.
Feel for the Jets fanbase. I thought the last few years, they were starting to collect some good peices. A promising QB, a few excellent defensive players. But then they went and hired Gase and Williams, 2 absolute frauds who shouldn't be anywhere near an NFL team. It'd be nice to see what a...
Accrington away. Only interesting aspect is its a good test for the players against higher league opposition and there is no shame in going out, but aside from that, it's yet another abysmal draw with zero interest from the fans outside the die hards.
Watching some of the highlights and I came across this gem.
Skip to 0:46 for the most hilarious dive you are ever likely to see. I'm not sure what's worse, that or the fact the ref actual gives it.
Props to the kids in the video giving the finger and wanker signs to the whole ground. Probably the calmest I've ever seen someone do that.
Also love them catching the end of Lancashire's run in front of the Swindon fans. He may be a pretty shit defender but he's gone up in my estimation after...
That is the problem though, we almost certainly will do. Ng and Lowery are my bets, they are in incredible form. Wintle is another that is bound to draw the eye.
And it's not even like we can reject bids as we are desperate for cash and pledge never to stand in a players way. I just hope a PL...
Oh I know it wasn't meant as an insult. I just don't think it's fair to ask for more than what we currently get right now. We've got the Vale in a few weeks, that should hopefully get the masses down.
We have never been a massively supported club, we have a small town and rely on a fair few exiles and freebies to prop up numbers. I mean, at our peak we were only attracting 6k home fans on average.
And lets also remember we only got 3.1, 3.1, 3.3k home fans for our 2nd, 3rd and 4th home games...
Well, we did play like that in the 2nd half and we did get a result. More than deserved, simply ground them down and got the winner, plus added a little gloss as well. Credit to Swindon, they were determined and organised for the most part, but we had too much in the end.
Performance of the...
Oh the difference a clinical finisher makes. Can't remember the last time we had one of those. Ironic that this was probably our best first half of the season at home. Still concede first and go in trailing, what else is new?
All the possession, all the territory, keeper has had one difficult...
Our draw will be monumentally dull, as it always is. Plus we'll probably go out.
Since we dropped into L1 and started entering in round 1 back in 06-07, we've drawn 4 non-league teams, only 2 of which have been away. I know the odds suggest you are more likely to get a league team, drawing 4...
Tricky game this. Those front 2 will be a real test for our defence, which still looks ropey. Grant in midfield will be a tough one, although hopefully our trio can pass around him. Got to fancy scoring a couple against their defence though.
I'd take a point to be honest, same as the Cheltenham...
I know exactly what your shit parody is talking about. You don't have to dance around it, just post it in a civil manner without your unfunny parody slant on it and it won't get deleted.
Yes, I suspect the investigation will come out soon and reveal some damning things potentially, probably...
