All Cambridge fans for the evening. Tough match for Bolton. Cambridge caused us a few problems down at Fratton Park. Their CB pairing are pain in the arse. Full on experience and gamesmanship. Lyle Taylor doesn't need too many chances and Kaikai is one of the better winger on his day. Bolton...
Started abit slow, but grew into the game. Still a yard off the pace we play the game at, but some moments of extremely good control and quick feet. Much more composed 2nd half
Weathered Readings early pressure. Jesus they are full of sprinters.... So quick.. However.. Kamara are Lane are bang in form. 2 of the best wingers in the league. Kamara 3 assists today and Lane scoring. Lang carrying on his good scoring for us since signing. Gutted Derby sneaked it at the...
In regards to injuries I think alot of it this season is due to the amount of extra time. Players are playing on average 10-12 mins each match. However most of Pompeys injuries have been due to tackles in a match. Robertson, anjorin and Lowery are the exceptions. It always seems to happen in one...
To be fair I think Blackpool at the time a few points ahead. Orient are definitely challengers for that last 6 spot. Level with Pompey so far this year with 19 points. There's always a side that creeps in last minute.
We've dropped 9 points to the current bottom five. Bolton got beat at home by Carlisle. Peterborough beaten by Exeter the other week. Not all plain sailing against sides who are in the bottom 4 or just above. Charlton have been a train wreck this season but play the top 3 in a row needing to get...
Moxon took a while to get going when he came on and him and Pack are the only fit central midfielders left in the building at the moment. Going to be another tough match. Reading since January have been excellent. We have to start better and can't afford to go behind early like Tuesday.
Bolton with those games in hand make it very tough for either of us, but they've looked poor recently. Whoever has the stomach for the fight I suppose. Game down at Fratton Park next month is huge
Everyone did their part today. Still for us 7 wins from 13 is 90 points which will be probably enough for top 2. Gonna be a hell of a ride with some tasty matches coming up. Just hope we don't run out of fit players before the end of the season. Lost another central midfielder in Lowery today...
To be fair I think the ref was just guessing most of the match. Didn't think your goal was over. Lino had no clue neither did the ref. Seen reds given for the challenge by Gibbons. He's an awful ref in general. But don't think he was bias either way, just rubbish. Def a pen, 2nd not offside...
Another game to carry on the "run". It's getting to the nervy end of the season now. Mousinho knods towards some rotation after the grueling journey to Carlisle and back. Hope those come in can hit the ground running. Expect Morrison to keep up his wind up merchant tactics. Going for a 3-1 win.
Pretty comfortable 1-0 win without being that good. Carlisle run themselves silly, but one special piece of play won the match. Hit the bar and post aswell. I'll take 9 more 1-0. Saw we've not got 10 clean sheets in 17 away from home. Results went for us today. Paddy Lane is some player. 2 years...
We have a lad who's flying from Malta to Bournemouth then getting the train to Carlisle.. We've sold our 1800 allocation for the match and more are being snapped up.
At current count we have 1 RB, 2 CBs, 3 Central Midfielders, and 2 attacking Midfielders out.
Of which 2CBs 2CM and 1 AM out for the rest of the season
Peterborough losing at Exter and Bolton having the game called off is a big plus for us. Also see that Derby along with ourselves have more in the treatment room than on the training pitch!!
What do we think the top 6 will look like come the end of the season?
Top 6 currently in decent, rather than spectacular form. Bolton have the most games in hand over Portsmouth, however playing 2 matches a week for a long period of time does take its toll and stretches the squad to its limit...
