Just catching up on this after the forum went down over the weekend. In that time we’ve actually made a couple of signings in Jai Donacien on a permanent from Ipswich Town & Bim Pepple on loan from Luton.
Both have pro’s & con’s about them. Donacien’s pro’s are that he’s very highly regarded by...
Really good player unfortunately his body doesn’t seem physically cut out for the men’s game yet. Played 4/5 games and the broke down each time with mid term injuries keeping him out for 6/7 weeks each time.
Will go on to have a very good career though I think once his bodies up to it.
Way I see it is, his age coupled with his purple patch at the start of this season means his stock this window is probably the highest it’s ever going to be whilst he’s here. So I’m with you that if a decent fee comes in, we should cash in, but include a decent sell on fee in there too incase he...
Too good for Orient aswell. Was at Spurs academy though wasn’t he so I wonder if a move back closer to home for rest of season would be quite appealing to him.
We will see what happens anyway, I know he rejected league 1 clubs for us in the summer so who knows, it might happen again.
The NL is an absolutely fucking shite league to be in and I won’t have anyone say it isn’t. The ONLY reason it felt decent over the last couple of years for us, was because there were a fair amount of proper clubs in there at the same time who had managed to get their shit together which made it...
I don’t get what you want?
Would you rather sign no one and stick with the absolute shower you’ve got atm that’s left you bottom of the football league?
Or would you rather the board/manager at least have a go and try get some bodies in to keep you up?
You’d give theshayway a run for his money...
Apparently were in for Janoi Donacien, defender from Ipswich. Obvious links with Cook, Roberts & Dyer so wouldn’t surprise me if we are interested.
I’d be lying if I said I knew anything about him or had even heard of him, but Ipswich fans seem surprised he’s dropping below the championship...
Up until the end of Feb we were unstoppable tbh. The amount of late goals we scored was ridiculous as well, going into the last 10 minutes of games you just knew we were going to get the goal we needed to get over the line.
You mentioned it on the other post but given the lack of any real...
My comment was quite clearly tongue in cheek regards our result against you that year, don’t let it bother you too much sir.
It would be madness for me to come out with a comment such as ‘we had the best ever conference side’ and mean it literally as it’s impossible compare sides from different...
Best conny side of all time came the year after my good friend. So good that the players were able to sit on the beach for 2 months & still end up winning it at a canter
What’s interesting is I think virtually all fans of every team that’s been mentioned in this thread will be thinking the exact same thing to this. We’ve all got slight issues that if we feel are addressed in this window (for example ours is a CB of equal quality & experience to Dunkley who has...
Throwing my 2 pence worth in on the teams included in this and what I’ve seen of them:
Walsall - For me, dead certs to go up. Strong, physical and organised side with a top quality forward that delivers week in week out. Best side I’ve seen at our place all season, we did well to get a point...
I won’t be getting involved in talking up our chances on this thread until our medical department sorts themselves out
BUT…
The cavalry (well, less than half of those currently injured) are coming, (very) slowly, but surely…
